I think they raised thier prices. I clicked on the "order button for the 09 and it was 4.44.

Glad I bought 6 of them a week ago.

I cut some wires here. Added some wires there.
I make my own out of regular furnace filters. Sort of like the washable cabin filter mod but my version is disposable / reloadable. I get about 4 to 6 filters out of it for less than $1 total normally but I'm buying my filters wholesale. Even at Home Depot prices you could do it for under $1 each and I bet the filter media you choose at Home Depot would be twice as good as whatever you ordered. You can use whatever HEPA, Arm & Hammer, Febreeze, anti-pollen, anti allergen filter you want.

I just replaced it again, two years later and 20,000 miles later. It looked just as bad as the original one did at 47,000 miles.

Reminder: Change your cabin air filters!

I just changed mine with 26K on it. It was a lot worse than I expected it to be. Will prolly start changing every 10K now I suppose

I guess we have cleaner air around here. In 88k miles I took mine out a couple of times and hit with the air compressor. I sold it with original filter.

Should have seen mine I pulled out the other day at 83K. Not sure if it was the first change, since I bought it with 30K but is was covered plus I had to pull and vacume out another 2 bird nests worth of pine straw and debris that was collected and sitting on top of the filter.

    Wow.....
I have two filters that I rotate. I change them once a year. I clean the dirty ones. After about 2 cleanings, the filters are ready for the trash.

When I bought my first Tacoma I didn't realize they were doing it. I thought that it wasn't done for a long while. Turns out they charged me $60.00(CDN) to do that change, I was so pissed off. Now with my new Tacoma filters are going to be getting changed by the end of the year. I am going to be doing it myself. Stupid dealers, ugh!

Mine at 35k miles. It was totally plugged. I knocked the loose stuff out, vac'd out the rest, then washed it in warm water with detergent. Put a hair dryer on it to dry it out and it's good as new. Looks like you could probably get 2-3 washes out of the OEM filter before you have to replace it, if you're a penny pincher.
