I removed my OEM filter. It was extremely dirty. Ordered another and I decided to see if I could clean the original. Its waterproof. Using a hand brush and some mild soap its clean with no deterioration of the filter element.

I saw that as well but I got one anyway since there are no reasons that it wont fit. There were no changes from ‘20 , and other sites list it as compatible. It fits fine with no issues. I believe that to be a K&N website error.

Lots of air filters get moldy and icky if they get wet. The pollen and mold spores go crazy.

I buy the cheapest I can find and change it twice a year. Easy Peasy , no problem. I really don’t think there’s that much difference between the different brands. The important thing is to change them every 6 months to a year or sooner it conditions warrant. This is an item that probably 90% of people pay no attention to and seldom if ever change.

I like your list, but I will add grits, I love grits. Also, Shredded Wheat, the big ones, not the sugar frosted kind, in heated milk on a cold day. Growing up, my parents didn’t allow sugary cereal so now I’m kind of wired that way.

The Fram activated carbon ones do pretty well with the smoke we get every summer when CA burn’s itself down.

The difference vs OEM was noticeable.

nice! - I must admit that I lack experience with these Grits you speak of…

I’m all over shredded wheat though - yes, the big, unsweetened ones…

I always use whatever the local shops have. Pro tip, I spray mine down with cologne, or Fabreze, or Fabuloso makes it smell good. In case you're wanting an argument with the wifey, spray it down with perfume, not hers. :fistbump:

Yep, they do show it available for 2020. Might have to consider purchasing.

My wife and daughter have such severe allergies that I joke they're allergic to oxygen. Good, quality air filters are a way of life for us.

It's the rocket science, for 12 years for my tundra I purchased the combo air/cabin filter off ebay, less then $20 no issues

Grits are like Cream of Wheat in terms of texture and consistency. They are white corn, instead of wheat. Usually, you mix in something with them, it could be sausage, bacon, a little butter and brown sugar, or some left over carne asada (like that’s going to happen), or whatever. Y grandpa got me started on them when I was little. Regular grits are best, but instant grits will do in a pinch.

A bowl of Cheerios with strawberries or a sliced banana on top does the trick for me! :hattip:

I'm a grape-nuts with half&half eater 90% of the time but occasionally cheat and eat a bowl of AppleJacks. Cannot do the warm milk thing... as I once got a cup of scorched milk and can't get the taste out of my mouth.

Not to the point of needing a filter yet but likely will just go with whatever is cheapest as I drive with my windows cracked anyway so fancy hepa grade filters claiming to filter out fart smells are of little value to me.

I use Toyota OEM. There is an activated charcoal filter PN 88508-04010 that I found is a bit better at managing odors than the normal paper one.

OEM. Why something else? a few dollars less or a better filter? a better filter would be the only way I would use one.
