    I bought masterlock for my 2012 and money was refunded as it did not work for that year. I found this out earlier this year from TW thread as a member with a 2012 easily removed tailgate. Unsure of exact details but I know for the 12's it didn't work and refunds were issued if requested.

    Pop N' Lock. Cables can be cut in no time flat. They offer no security.

    Somewhere on here is this thread about simply fitting a short length of tubing / pipe over the tubular hinge. I relocated their picture here (thanks). Takes about 1-1/2 inch ID tube. The RH Pipe over TG hinge.jpg
    hinge is disassembled from the tailgate and the tube slides over the slot opening - engaging the joint in semi-permanent fashion.
    Then the hinge is bolted back onto the tailgate. If the thief has a nice tool collection - and lots of time - this could be defeated, but not too likely.........
