cai kits, have to recalibrate the maf?

    k&n intake kit, flowmaster original 40 series muffler 1 in 2 out. 2 kicker cvt10's powered by a kicker 750.1 amp.
    do you have to recalibrate the maf when you install a cai to notice mpg gains an hp? if so any tips?

    its not needed. if it makes you feel better you could reset the ECU (disconnect the battery for about 5-10 min)

    ok thanks=) seen a few ppl asking about it else where was curious. so it wouldnt make a diff then im taking it

    ^^X2 you dont have to, but you can. Just be aware that "cai" on Tacomas dont do much on a stock engine. The stock intake is already a "cai" as it draws air from the fender. The intake will just give you a little better throttle response and be louder. :thumbsup:

    yeah i just like the sound over the stock is main reason i got it. waiting on my flowmaster 40s to be completed now.
