Yesterday, I ran power to the bed for a couple of projects. First, I installed a set of lights for the bed. Instead of going under the rail, I mounted them to the bedrack.

Next, I added a power bank in the bed, including switched USB outlets & voltmeter and a constant on 12v plug. You can see the push button switch for the bed lights in the upper right below.

After, I loaded up the truck and went camping up in Daytona. I was supposed to do 2 nights, but a 70% chance for rain and temp projections in the 40's made me rethink that.

Here are some pics from the campsite, as well as a few from around Tiger Bay State Forest and Tomoka WMA.

This was on a portion of the old Pershing Highway, a brick road built in 1917 to connect DeLand to Daytona Beach.

On one of the trails out in Tomoka WMA. I got some exploring in, but not as much as I would have liked. There were a lot of hunters out there and I made sure to do everything I could to not disturb their hunts.

A couple of twisted trees. Their trunks are almost parallel. Very strange.

So, after doing my winch install and relocating my lightbar, I found that the lightbar was trying to communicate with aliens.

    I replaced it with 3x 12" bars

I bought some amber film from Lamin-X for the lightbars. It adds some protection to the lenses. I'll get a picture tonight to check the light output.

Do you have the specifics for your bed rack? Would love to make something similiar.

I mostly built it in place using the Mark 1 eyeball. I ended up getting some 30 degree and 60 degree unistrut brackets from McMaster Carr to reinforce the corners. Other than that, it was dumb luck that I got the height right.

So, after all a considerable amount of internal debate, I decided that my best long term camping solution would be either a RTT or a good ground tent. With my tax refund pending, I was leaning more towards a ground tent since I would have felt more comfortable mounting a RTT on a professionally built bed rack than on my unistrut rack. While looking at and researching Kodiak Flex Bows, a fellow member mentioned he was considering selling his rack and tent. We talked a bit, and when the time came he was ready to sell and I was ready to buy. I ended up scoring an AllPro rack and Smittybilt Overlander tent for a screaming deal. Thanks so much @TacoTRD78 !!

I mounted my Amazon awning and reconfigured my camping light pods to work with the new rack, and I'm pretty happy with the finished result.

I also picked up my SOS Concepts HC bumper and swingout. Yesterday I got the bumper primed and painted. I'm hoping to knock out the install on Friday or early next week.

Installed the HC bumper this past Friday and Saturday. Sorry for the potato quality pics. I had been fighting the flu (of course it hit on the week I was on PTO) and couldn't be bothered to grab the DSLR.

Just got back from Fastenal a little bit ago with my SOS Offroad skids. Now to prep, paint, and mount these bad boys before I fly out next weekend!

Yeah. It was taped to the underside of the IFS skid. I didn't get the decal I ordered though...

Hey, no worries if he doesn't want me repping his company. I've got my 4xInnovations and Pelfreybilt decals on board. Well, I do have the SOS decal on the tent cover, but it's behind the awning...

This afternoon I cobbled together a few lengths of unitstrut to mount my Plano case and traction boards to the OEM roof rack I installed on Easter. Followed that up with installing my SOS IFS and transmission skids. The transfer case skid will have to wait until later this week or Saturday. I'll snag some pictures tomorrow.
