Calamity Ganon build thread, sorta bs thread? with a sprinkling of Sumi the HX

Looks like the DTF lower bumper they designed back in 2013-2014. It's a great design if you want to keep the oem look.

 

i think it might be i found a pic of it and asked a friend to put it on my truck for me so i could get an idea for it

^ Cool thing about it is, you can have someone build it to your own specs with a winch.

 

also i guess i didnt mention this but the klx is a new addition to the garage (i mentioned it on insta but forgot here sorry)

but this is my new to me 2003 kawasaki klx400 which is actually a drz400 (it was a one year only thing)
ive wanted a motercycle for a long time and this to me is the best of both worlds a dirt bike and a streetable bike so two things in one!

yup exactly i have a local buddy that said we could build it to how i want and get my winch in it as well ive done the full plate bumper and it was fun it looked cool and was super helpful buuuut its heavy and im kinda done with it now i want something light and simple again like what i use to have from usoffroad i should never have sold that thing....

its a neat bumper built by them but the thing i cant justify is how people paid 2k for this? like its cool but not 2k cool.....


overall a neat design that i will try and work with on my truck some way somehow

 

^ 2K? really? IMHO, this would be 1k if it was never built before and you didn't have a jig or the specs. Once you've built it and have all the specs down, it would be easy to duplicate them afterwards.

 

ya thats what it said on the website and after looking through the thread about them i saw at least two that had fitment issues with it which is sad for the cost and the insane lead times those few had....


and i agree 1k for a one off makes sense but after that it would be cheaper and easier to build

I like the bike! You should check the rotation direction of your front tire, it might be on backwards.

I'm also interested to see what your truck looks like with that front crossmember cut out.

 

thanks! i havent really ridden it yet since ive been doing small things here and there but ya those tires are junk i have new tires at home that i will be installing this weekend (i think the date on those tires was from 6 years ago lol)



and same! it will be awhile before i can get it done got other stuff thats more important but its the route i want to go
