I was tooling around Cochrane yesterday and couldn't believe the number of Tacomas. They're literally like every third vehicle there!

Can anyone recommend a good place to shop for wheels/tires in Calgary? I've been around to the usual suspects but I'm wondering if anyone found great deals and customer service anywhere they can recommend? Thanks

A couple of friends got some from 4 wheel parts. They have s good extended warranty you can buy. Can be handy if you get into the woods when who knows what can happen. Otherwise my normal tires for my old car i got at Master Tune just south of the air port.

Thanks, it's great to hear good stuff about 4 wheel, I've been in there a couple times and they seem like a solid group of guys. They don't have any wheels in stock that will fit a Tacoma, it's mainly jeep stuff. Ordering puts them all 1-2 weeks away. Normally that would be fine, but I have new tires that I need wheels for and I leave for out of town work soon and I have someone that will buy the stock wheels/tires(at a great price) but wants them now.

The tale of two dealerships in the Calgary area:
I call Southpointe Toyota(where I bought my truck) and tell them about needing wheels that are in stock. They tell me to come down and look, I tell them I wouldn't have to if they had them online, but they don't. A note to businesses, if you don't have a good website, you can expect to spend way more time on the phone with customers. It's not the 80's, we aren't going to drive down and look at everything in person when most of your competitors have inventory online. Anyhow. They tell me to expect $300/wheel and up for anything they carry and everything all in would "be about $1,500 give or take". He wanted off the phone.

    I call Cochrane Toyota(TACOMA TOWN)
The guy walks around the showroom and the stock room and gives me the names of the 7 different options I would have of in stock rims. He gives me a price down to the last dollar and cent for them installed with GST + offers to give me $100/wheel for my stock rims. He then put me on hold to try and squeeze an appt in to have them installed. ($1,500 give or take) at SPointe turned in to $784 at TT because they spent the time running some numbers.

I just wanted to give some respect to TACOMA TOWN because they earned my business today.

Great to hear! Do you know who you were talking with?
I will pass on the good words when I speak to them next.

When are you getting the rims?

Darcy, Kyle and Richard are all very helpful!

I never worry about quality of service when I deal with Cochrane Toyota.

Anybody used "At the Border Storage" in SweetGrass? Considering having some bigger packages sent there so I can pick em up and save on the cross border hassle

Just wondering if anyone has had good / bad experiences or has another suggestion
