I've used Montana Shipping Outlet alot. I like them because it's cheap to pick up items and they never lose a thing in my experience. Items are kept undamaged and overall it's a positive experience.

The cons? Make sure if you are picking up goods for others that your buddy has called in and told the cashier. If they don't call ahead it'll be a pain in the arse. The staff can be rude when they are overworked and will often get flustered. This is not there main store, bring AMERICAN cash or else they have to call in your credit card to there main location, which I thought was a bit sketchy.

Lastly, and as always, don't lie about what you're taking back across the boarder to save a few bucks from the Feds. If they catch you with undeclared and very expensive items once you're fucked for life. They will pull you over every time after that and rip your truck apart. This is not from personal experience, but I have friends with boarder guards in the family.

I'm from Calgary area, a few hours away. I drive all over Southern Alberta for work. I might be moving to High River area in the future depending on where my career path takes me. Check out my profile to see what I drive. I'll eventually redo my truck more for offroad but for now it's definitely a town cruiser that sees a lot of gravel.

I've had a lot of work done in Cochrane at Cochrane Toyota. Those guys know the Tacoma inside and out. They will compete with most prices in Canada, and if they don't they tell you why in an honest and forward way. I'll be buying my next Taco there since the guys at Lethbridge Toyota are some sort of terrible.

Avoid Lethbridge Toyota at all costs! They have good salespeople and they will play ball, but after that it's nothing but harassment for service and overprice yet terrible maintenance. I've found sockets and an empty bottle of oil under my hood. Plus they "accidentally" put 0w-20 in my truck once, which is for the 4 cylinder. Not that it does any damage but if something went wrong and they pulled the oil that could come back on me...

Hey guys not from Calgary but from red deer. Anyone now where to get a decent price on a OME lift or something similiar need to replace my stock stuff and might as well lift it and do it right the first time.

Call ARB Canada. Even with shipping I got mine cheaper than anywhere here in Calgary. Great people and great to deal with.

Good luck and looking forward to the build.

Try Cochrane Toyota. They deal with all sorts of lifts...from Long travel to even the Bro Lifts, Same for The Gear Shop. Check around and find the best price/service. Go with them!

Ouipack no longer carries ARB. I guess they stopped in November. I will try the gear shop and see what they got. I talked to capit and was quoted 1550 but not sure if I was missing anything when I talked to the guy.

Down in Lethbridge, CapIt is usually way out to lunch with prices. Even my local little dealer in a town of 8,000 people can out price them :D.

In my opinion, they are sort of the Canadian Tire of aftermarket accessories. No one goes there for the lowest prices but because they can easily get a hold of everything and each location keeps some common stuff in stock.

You are right. I sent them an email and they let me know that as well. Too bad because they had great prices and great service.

Anybody know a good independent mechanic in the Calgary area that I could take the wife's honda element to? The stealer ship attempted a major robbery this week and I'd like a second opinion on some potential work

    Appreciate the help

So beginning of August I am making that oh-so-wonderful drive to Calgary from Halifax. ~5000km non-stop with my bike on the trailer with some other random junk. Guess I'll have to familiarize myself with this thread haha

I've done the round trip twice so 4 total crossings. This time I'll be cutting through the states to cut a few kms and save with cheap(er) fuel.
This will be my first time going through the USA, I can't handle northern onterrible again. I'm taking a trailer full of junk and my bike too, I'm terrified about the gas mileage. Truck is bad enough on gas with just my fat ass.
