Has enough time passed to suggest Team Fire Extinguisher? (I know it wasn't your fault Joe. Let's face it, I'll always be Team Oil Change)

Add me to that pm list if you would! I'm new to the taco but had a land cruiser before. Was up in the north ghost ice climbing yesterday, it's all in good shape up there. Lots of hunters out.

You bet. I've been so fricking busy with work haven't done a damn thing to my truck except break shit.

Fucking OEM antenna snapped off in the cold last week - leaving the threaded base in there. I hear guys sell shortie replacements in this site..

I have the CravenSpeed "Stubby". Picked it off Amazon for like $14.99.

Reception is "meh", but it doesn't smash off the sprinklers in my underground, so I've got that going for me. Use mostly satellite or BT through my phone anyway.

I've had time bit I've been mostly fixing my garage before I really get going on the Truck. Gonna put my front lights in tonight I think though.

Yah I took that off a week after I got it. Buy a stubby for 20$ on Amazon and forget about it. Zero reception difference for me.

I have an order of SHOK INDUSTRY v2 Sound deadener coming in along with some 8 inch triton Subs. IF anyone in Canada is looking for the above mentioned it would be easy and much more cost effective to add it to the order Especially if your in the calgary area

I kinda like having the normal extended antenna. That way I know if my RTT is going to try to rip off the back of my truck if I park underground.

Chinook...can't do it with 33"s anymore.

Totally legit use for the long antenna!

I'm at stock ride height still with the new truck and just got annoyed by the continuous scraping noises in my garage. If I were lifted more or had an RTT, I'd probably put up with the noise and go back to the OEM antenna just to use it as a "feeler".

Absolutely. With that stupid spiral exit they have in Chinook it really eats your clearance. I had to have a spotter leaning out the passenger window checking for me. And even then it rubbed. With bald ass 265x75R16's no less!

Looks for some input on some sort if recovery rope. What should I look for and what should I avoid? Any tips and places to go? Gonna go test the truck out and shoot some guns and thought it would be a good idea to have a good recory rope. Just incase.

    a few
lots of options for recovery rope / straps.
make sure you pick something that far exceeds the weight rating needed.
a rope / strap with stretch is nice, and a lot less harsh on everything (don't buy a tow-strap).
make sure you are using proper recovery points. a hitch shackle mount is a nice investment if you don't already have one.
there are spendy options (arb, voodoo rope, warn, viking, etc.), and the opposite. depends on how much use you may think the pieces will have,.. and whether you're a name-brand kinda guy. i have a strap from princess auto that's been great, (although, it's only been used a handful of times) and was really fairly priced.

also, if you haven't done a recovery before with your truck / gear, i would recommend hitting an empty parking lot with a buddy and testing things out. always nice to have an idea of how things will work before you're in a "need-to" situation somewhere off road.
