I mean normally......who really wants to buy someone elses skids?

I currently have 1 black CBI IFS Skid for sale.
Its made out of Steel Not Aluminum.
It looks like the start of this longer section of skids.....

It also has CBI cut out of it....Don't let others fool you, just because the name is cut out does not mean this is by any means weak. This little beauty is probably stronger than the incredible Hulk himself.

    Price as New US$ 240
    Price in Canadian$ 317
Shipping to get a heavy chunk of steel into Canada I think was 80-90$ From fedex when I picked it up.
I am willing to say this skid has never been utilized. It has been on the truck for a short period of time, in that time frame the truck did not go wheeling much at all and most of the offroad was very tame.
I am selling because I purchased a full Aluminum set and would like this out of my already small storage unit.

Please purchase now for $263 Canadian!

Reeno, why did you switch to Aluminum? Any advantages other than weight?

Won't rust when it gets scratched then exposed to our winters/road salt.

Good point, I didn't even think about that.

I am about a month away from ordering a Pelfreybilt Aluminum bumper and this makes me happier with my decision. Why is no one does aluminum rear bumpers?...or am I blind

No clue honest. I just angle grinded the rust off mine and primed/painted the crap out of it. Much better coating than the Power coating that was on before.

It won't rust. However it will corrode like crazy.

^This is true. Jamie, do you know if the corrosion will creep under paint/powder coating like Rust will?

Good question, interested in hearing this answer. I wonder of the 2 options (powder coating or LineXing) which is the best for corrosion prevention.

if you don't care about aesthetics, corroded aluminum looks like aluminum. if you do, have the aluminum anodized. if you want the aluminum to look different, have it powdercoated or LineXed.

Really any metal is going to have some kind of issues with a state of corrosion. I will update when I see issues. Dont expect that to be for a long time though. Take care of your vehicle and you will minimize problems.

Only thing is rust is different than Aluminum corrosion. And I dunno if it acts the same with paint in terms of creeping under.
