Discount company. I made the mistake of jumping on a few of their bargains when I started my build. Absolutely none of their products held up next to competitors. Rago, Mobtown, cbi, any of them. Caliraised products look a decade older after 12 months.

I should have the new design in my hands tomorrow. The part confusing me right now is you are saying the thing is different than in the video... how? The video and your photo have the plate flipped to different sides than one another. Can you flip your plate over and explain how the part is different?

Also when I first installed mine, the way that side lines up on the initial version, it needs to be pressed flat to the frame to align. If you have it sagging like 3/4" down, the bolt hole isn't going to line up yet.

BRO holy shit I just ran into the same issue. I got mine and I tried to put them on yesterday but the holes didn't line up and I went down the same road as you watching videos and I found what I believe to be the issue.

They sent you and myself the 2 Wheel Drive versions instead of the 4 Wheel Drive version.

I took the photo yesterday and I took screenshots of both versions of the shields because I was talking to another friend about the mess up.

I went to CaliRasiedLED website just now after seeing your post again and for some reason the 2WD Cat Shield photo isn't there anymore...

I think your looking at pictures of the 1st gen. What you received is the 2nd gen probably. As far as fitting??? You have it on the bolts or against them?

I've tried fitting it and holes he has circled in the original place don't like up with the ones on the frame no matter how far you try and crank it.

I just got replacement 2nd version shields in today for my 1st revision that were making contact with the cat on the drivers side. I'm looking at my shield in hand right now and it has the exact same thing going on. The slot is at the wrong angle. I haven't gone out to try to install it yet, but this might be the case of mixed up parts shipping.

Update: a minute after I posted my last message I got an email from CaliRaised explaining what happened.

    Hello,

Thank you for picking up the new V2 Cali Raised CAT Shield for your Tacoma. We changed to the V2 to help eliminate a variance in the Tacoma exhaust systems, and we know these will be a great product for you. Unfortunately in an effort to quickly fill your orders we had a batch slip past us that had 2 bends out of spec. What does this mean? It means you will have trouble getting the front two bolts in. We pulled a truck on the lift and found an alternative installation procedure that allows these to still install great for you, please refer to the video below. If this does not work please reach out via our customer service portal on the site and we will work to help you get these installed with direct support from the engineering team, or we can send out a shield that has the corrected bends for you. We know a lot of you are wanting this protection right away, so we wanted to give you options. Please let us know if we can help in any way, thank you!

Here is the video like from the email

Sounds like my sliders that I ordered from them that were not angled properly but got blamed on shipping damage.

EDIT: Just got off the phone with Cali. The versions we have right now apparently without the use of the spacer can wiggle into position with freeplay. I'm going to give it a whirl tonight before commenting further.

the video that covers the tweak itself.
