@CaliRaisedLed Just wanted to say the sliders arrived MUCH earlier than expected (raw/no finish probably helped) and packaged extremely well. The welds are BEAUTIFUL and the construction overall looks top notch. Can't wait to get them on the trail - there's a trail nearby I couldn't fit through with wider sliders, and I'm hoping the high angle on these will let me squeak through.

I'd love to see some more for the DCLB. Some that illustrated how far the 25 degrees stick out past the door. Thanks!

Just got mine and can't wait to install them! They look great.

@CaliRaisedLed (or anyone) Do the backing plates need to be painted or are they zinc or something?

Ok so not sure if this is right or not, but all 6 of my long bolts for the clamps are 2.5". From what I can gather from all the install videos I should have two 3" long bolts and four 2.5". In some of the videos it looks like the 2.5" bolt will work all around, but does anybody know?

They stop about 6 inches after the back door. Skip too 25:50 in this video to take a better look at it! Thanks. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JbiEp9R-QlQ&t=390s

6" with a kickout? What about the front door, how far does it stick out?
    Thanks!

I completely miss read the question. So the 25 degree will stick out 3" and the kick-out is around 4.5". I will send you photos so you can see what it looks like! 2005-2021 Toyota Tacoma Trail Edition Rock Sliders02_0000s_0008_Raw_5 (1).jpg 2005-2021 Toyota Tacoma Trail Edition Rock Sliders02_0000s_0003__DSC5509.jpg 2051B128-FDF0-4694-AE4A-6B0334CD1345.jpg 0BE94639-E981-402D-9DF8-E373936CA563.jpg

Yay, finally able to get mine installed. Very easy for sure. Love the fit and look.

Just finished install on an 09 Access Cab.

    IMG_20211214_171108.jpg

I used all of the frame inserts on each side (the ones I think are referenced as "optional" in the instruction bid), but my AC does not accommodate the rearmost frame clamp. I'm not particularly concerned.

    IMG_20211214_171115.jpg

Extremely low profile. If you creep through tight spaces or just don't like the step look, these are good to go.

    IMG_20211214_171200.jpg

Nice hardware, great fit, and absolutely worth the money.

    Random detail shots:

POR-15 on interior of all mounting surfaces:

Rearmost frame claw (???) not used on this 09 Access Cab. Four rectangular plates used. My frame is a little munged so I had to tighten everything up out of the recommended order to pull everything together:

What are the torque specs for the various bolts? For the metal frame insert doodads, do those need rust protection or are they zinc or aluminum? The question was asked but an answer was not posted here.

They're bare steel. FWIW I painted mine with a couple coats of black rattlecan and then hosed all of the mounting hardware off with Amsoil HDMP. If you wanted to go the extra mile, POR-15 the inserts and use HDMP (or FF or cosmoline or whatever you want) between the inserts and the frame.

Which variant of POR-15 did you use? I looked on their site and saw the top coat line but do not know if that is what you mean.

The stuff I used on the insides of the brackets on the sliders (and on my frame) is the POR-15 Rust Preventer. It comes in a couple different packages, this is a random one just so you know what product I'm talking about - https://www.amazon.com/POR-15-45006-6PK-Gloss-Preventive-Coating/dp/B00J2VULQ6/

The Top Coat goes over POR-15 anywhere it will be exposed to heavy UV (direct sunlight) and isn't necessary inside the frame rails.

POR-15 is probably overkill for the backing plates and slider brackets, but I had some leftover from doing my frame and frame plates.
