the one you want to work on is the black deutsch connector, NOT the blue one.

That would surprise me. Reversing polarity is a common LED issue. You reversed it and they didn’t turn on?

Inside the connector under the pin is a little clip you need to push up away from the pin while doing this gently but firmly pull on the wire they will come out. Once you do this to a couple connectors is not as nerve racking. Atleast the Deutsch connecter is a common one so if you do break it you can find more

i just installed a pair of caliraised led fog lights in my 05 tacoma.the first time i tried to install them mquicky did not work either.i emailed caliraised and i was really pissed at first then they emailed me back pretty quick and told me i needed to reverse the wires in the plug and play harness.so much for plug and play.you would think they would send you instructions with lights to tell you might half to reverse the wires in the harnesses.but anyway got them hooked up and they are pretty dam bright.

My plug and play harness was reverse wires as well. I was able to unclip the prongs that go into the original light port from their blue housing and switch their position in the housing. No cutting or soldering. They work great!

Is it the connections or the lights themselves that are rusting?

Thanks for the warning! I’ll have to spray mine down with some rust protector. Sorry about your fogs though. They haven’t rusted in vain.
