Thanks, Jake. Not afraid of DIY, just working to understand what I'd be getting myself into. If I have the patience, I might just wait until the Apex GB sometime next year and go with the full-size bar. Who knows. All you people are professionals at draining my bank account. Glad my wife doesn't visit TacomaWorld.com.

Thank you in your interest in our products, the correct size for the place your looking to put it is the 1.54" x 0.83". On the wiring it to dim the rest of your interior lights, i personally have no knowledge on how you would do that. If you have any more questions let us know.

Not a question more of a statement: you guys friggin rock! Love the customer support and the promptness to respond in any internet medium!

About to place an order for some new pods, ones I have from a crap company are just that.... Crap lol.
But I cannot decide on the amber pods or the 3x2 pods for fog lights :(

Thank You for those kind words, we do try to offer great products and great customer service to everyone. Now for the fog lights, yes it is personally preference. The best way I would put it to people is if your looking for more light i would go with the 18w 3x2 pods. If your using it more for there function as fog lights i would get the amber, because amber really cuts threw the fog and dust so it is easy to see. Hopefully that helps you understand which one would help you best.
    Cheers

You want the switch to dim with the factory lighting? Sounds like a lot of unnecessary work. These switches aren't very bright to begin with. I've wired up 4 in my truck, 1 I bought from Amazon and the other 3 from air on board. The air on board switches fit better IMO. Sure it's a few bucks more but you will also get it in days and not weeks. The Amazon switch ships from China, air on board is in CA.

They don't have to be constantly lit up. I wired mine to power after the ignition so the bottom half lights up when the ignition is turned on and the top half when the switch is activated. When the car is off there's no power to the switches. Now if you find a wire that's always hot then the switch would stay lit when the vehicle is off.

I built a secondary fuse box so mine is a little different. I'm no electrical expert so let me see if I can explain this. The answer is yes and no. Yes you will be pulling power from the battery to power your LED bar but the switch cannot handle power directly from the battery. In your harness, you will need an inline fuse and a relay. The fuse will protect against any surges and the relay will control when there is power going to the LED bar. To power the switch, you will need to find a 12v power that is post ignition. If you look at the schematic for the switch you have 4 wires, ground, signal and 2 powers ( one for the bottom led in the switch and one wire for the top led). I actually tied the two power wires on the switch together. Your signal wire will go to the relay.

If you plan on adding several accessories, you might want to look into doing something like this. It's a huge help in the long run

Exactly the bar does come with the fuse and relay in the harness.

Then you're going the right route. Use the CR supplied harness to power the bar, run the signal from the switch to the relay, the switch can be grounded to the body under the kick panel (use a ring terminal and ground to the existing factory ground), tie the 2 power wires together on the switch and find a hot wire after-ignition. A voltmeter is your friend here finding the right wire (easier with the keyed ignition than the push button start). Hope this helps!
