Just wondering if any of my fellow Canadians have used Cali raised and had something shipped to Canada. I’m strongly considering purchasing the High overland bed rack but just wondering how much extra it cost to get it here. And I am not talking about exchange but more shipping cost and boarder fees UPS destruction lol. Likely worth it to ship to an american PO Box and go pick it up. Please let me know your story’s thanks!

I have (Vancouver BC) with small items (switches etc.) duties were minimal and shipping was fair (can't remember exact cost though).

For larger items (light bar, pods etc.) I got them shipped to a depot just across the border and picked them up there. That was about 1.5 years ago, and I wasn't asked to pay duties on the way back to Canada. Not sure if anything has changed recently though.

No problem. In my experience with shipping from the states, it's not really the shipping that hurts, it's the duties haha

Yeah, you'll want to use a depot.
Paid an extra $100 for my Prinsu, and everything I get from BajaDesign adds another $70 or so..

Might be an idea to talk to https://overlandoutfitters.ca they sell Caliraised stuff.

It's not the duty- it's the carrier.

Last month I ordered a behind the grill light bar, ditch lights and fog light/spots and switches. Cali Raised were excellent and first class. Follow up emails etc.

The only issue was they broke my single order into two and shipped each order on the same day with UPS Ground. UPS is the absolute worst for items from the USA to Canada. They charge a $69.00 Broker Fee to clear the items through Canada Customs. In my case $69.00 X 2. Had Cali Raised shipped it as two packages on one waybill it would have saved me $69.00. If they had sent it USPS it would have cost me $10.00 to clear Customs. In my case the duty or taxes was $22.00. UPS charged me $138.00 to collect $22.00 in taxes.
    Absolute rip off.

Ask Cali Raised to ship via the USPS if possible.

If you are in the lower mainland, there are lots of mail depot's that cater to Canadians. I use TSB Shipping in Point Robert's. You register with them online. Have the package shipped to them. They send an email that it arrived. You pick it up. They charge a fee based on size and weight but it is way cheaper than any charge for shipping to your house.

Also, make sure you when you purchase that you have your shipping address and your billing address correct. The credit card company flags it quick when you have the wrong address, or won't allow the transaction.

Awesome thanks! Do you still have to pay tax or duty bringing it across yourself?

I have declared everything I brought across. The only thing I paid Duty on was my tonneau cover.

Since TSB is in Point Robert's, I just pop down get my stuff, get some gas and head home. Usually down for 15 minutes. If you are interested of making a bigger trip out of it, look in Blaine for a placed. I know people that send stuff there too. Then you can go do more shopping in Bellingham or else where.

If you are looking at Blaine, look into Kinek

    https://www.kinek.com/

You make an account with them, use their address and your customer number and then pick it up from the depot. It's like 2min from the border. They charge a small fee for pickup but I think it's like $5.

For what it's worth when I do this I just tell customs, I'm grabbing some stuff from Blaine and coming right back. Never had any issues. It's also funny when you come back over and they ask "how long were you in the US" and you say, "about 20min" lol

Shipping Depot should give you a physical address. Then the problem is your credit card address doesn't match..

I’ll try with that address and see if it works or not thanks I’ll try it because it’s a well known place and they take all different sized packages

That service ships to a physical address. I've used them to ship Caliraised and other products before.

For Blaine I believe the depot they use is Edge Logistics. 1755 Grant Ave

Shipping address is independent of billing address
