so is it closer to the front of the bed or closer to the bed storage pockets. sorry for all the questions its just such a cool set up that part of me wants something similar.
i see some extra screws above the bed storage pockets as i scroll back through and look closer is that it? cause the tank i saw was drilled into the bed.

It's right above the bed pocket. The extra bolts you see is the compressor. No worries on the questions man that's why we have this forum! I did have to get a 90 degree fitting coming from the compressor to keep from contacting the side of the bed. Here is a pic with the bed pocket removed.

When mounted for good I got some little rubber furniture feet that the bolts went through to help keep vibrations down.

Got most of the CB system set up this weekend. Still need to run the antenna cable and hook up ext speaker. I'm probably just going to place the speaker under the driver seat.

Moved the 12v power to the little cubby. I left the covers on for now till I figure out what I'm putting there. Tomorrow I'll do the 12v constant hot mod and wire in the push switch to control the USB outlet to prevent parasitic drain. Removing the outlets to get to the plugs was a major pain in the ass.

Well I fucked up. Don't place your outlets like this. Went to install today and there was "ZERO" room to fit. Not sure what the hell I was thinking I thought I checked for clearance but obviously not. The switch was fine with minor trimming. Lesson learned the combo of losing day light, tequila, and a nagging girl does not mix well when finishing up a project. :anonymous:

That sucks, but the combo was pretty funny. Is there just no room to reinstall? Or the wiring? All of the above?

The bottom outlet would work with minor trimming. The top one was totally flush with the support underneath. I still can't believe I did that! It was one of those moments I guess, you live and learn! Covered up the holes with black duck tape for now. I ended up just putting the outlets in the place of the original ones and had to drill them out an extra 1/8" to fit. This was my original plan just figured I could fill up the blank space with something like a battery monitor or something by moving the sockets.

While I was balls deep in the dash I went ahead and put the front camera switch in so I don't have to take the shit off again later. Now just waiting on the harness to be completed.

Here's a pic of the after. Blue sea 12v socket and dual USB port. Have them wired so that the USB is controlled with a push switch. Hopefully tomorrow I'll mod the relay so it's constantly hot.

did you ever figure out why your UCA are so low? ive never seen them sit low like that before
do you have a body lift in there somewhere?
seems like itd put early wear on some bushings or something

I'm still not sure why it's sitting like that. I think that maybe it's just where they adjusted the coil overs up when they put them in. I'm afraid if I lower it any in the front it won't be level anymore. The shop that did it I went back to them the other day to see about lowering it a 1/4 to 1/2 inch and they quoted me 365$. Fuck that.

Finally finished the CB install. Got the SWR to right below 2. Maybe 1.8 is this ok? Or do I potentially have a grounding issue?

I would try to get it lower or under 1.5, ideally around 1, I would think. Probably getting some resistance at the mounting location. Throw a multimeter on it and check it out.
