This is so dope. It's definitely an alternative to a fridge and the nice thing is quick release too. Would be perfect for my application. SoCal Teardrops is the company right?

Yeah it was exactly what I was looking for. They will make them for whatever cooler or fridge you want. I just wish I could have gotten it powder coated without messing up the slides but paint works well. It's a bit pricey for some people but when I was looking at making my own I realised the slides alone can eat up money quick. Yeah as far as the quick release goes that was a must for me. I used bolt in riv nuts from lowes and bolted them into the bed. Those are in permanatly now and gives me a nice bolting point without needing two people to put it on or take off. Either way it's prob less than 2 min to change.

While in Iceland I took an off road tour of the country. This thing was bad ass.

The guy could tell I was geeking out and even let me drive for a while.

Colton... did you ever contemplate going with the bed slide/ glide. Can't remember the exact name.. lol. That way you could slide all the contents out of the bed. Just curious on your thoughts. Reason being...i was thinking of going that route. Like your setup though! Especially since the cooler sides under the bed rack...:thumbsup:

I did contemplate the whole bed slide but can't remember the reason right now why I didn't go with it. It may have been it sat up too high to clear the basket, or that I keep a tool box on the truck 99% of the time. I'm sure as I get back around my truck it'll dong on me why. I do know that originally I was wanting to have the cooler slide on a swing out so I could access the rest of the bed easily. That was going to be quite the engineering/design feat.

I agree man. The bed slide just is too long to have with a toolbox on even the short bed version is too long with a tool box. It's a worth while idea. But just doesn't work.

Anyone on here have a dash cam? I'm trying to find one that's stealthy and don't have cables hanging out everywhere.

Go pro hard wired up through the mirror wires would be my vote. They have the session model which is tinier than the big heroes

How have I not found this build yet?!? Awesome build my man, just went thru the entire thread! OBA, sliding rear window, and front camera are all on my to do list. Been putting them off because they are fairly technical and expensive... what do you do for work? Seems like you are always traveling and making decent money. Did you do all these projects yourelf? Looked like the sliding window was the only work you contracted out .Will probably be stalking this again when I finally tackle these projects :spy:

I'm looking for something a little sleeker and OEM looking. Like maybe a Thinkware 770, or one of the Blackvue cameras. I'm deff gonna check out the go pro though and see if I can have a friend 3D print a case or something for it.

Ha thanks man! I'm a LED Tech/Camera Operator. I basically build huge video screens for large concerts and events, and then tear them down again. Also depending on the production I'll run a handheld camera in front of or on the stage. I did most of the projects myself, but I did have some one else install the Stereo system, heated seats, sliding rear glass (I wired it), my lift kit, and window tint. I had to get real creative with some of the projects to be able to do them by myself, one being the pelfreybilt front bumper with lights and winch. If you need any help on the projects man I'll try to help out as much as I can.

That's a pretty sweet gig dude! Any notable bands I would recognize/be jealous of?
Still a good track record, unless u do stereo installs or window tint for a living, it's not worth the time, money, or headache to even attempt those because the quality is so important for a slick/clean ride. Keep up the good work!

Thanks man! I eyeball your group buys all the time! Keep it up!

Thanks for the pics dude! I had no idea they had a GoPro like the session. I think I'm leaning more and more toward the Blackvue 650 though. I've got to do a bit more research on both the go pro and some of the others out there before I finally pull the trigger.

I'd say so. I started really hitting it with country bands like Rascal Flatts, Little Big Town, Jason Aldean, and Florida Georgia Line just to name a few. If you saw the Super Bowl XLIX halftime show I was part of the crew that was there to build the video part of the stage for Katy Perry. Metallica and Emeniem were awesome to see when they performed at the Veterans Day Concert For Valor HBO special in DC we did as well. Super fortunate to have such incredible opportunities in my career.

It also involves a bit of climbing.

The radio I knew I didn't want a part of and it seems most tint jobs people try and do themselves end up looking like bubble wrap after a few years. I plan on keeping this thing till the damn wheels fall off and then probably just getting new ones.:burnrubber:

So jealous you get to work with all these country bands. Dream job to work with them honestly. Especially Florida Georgia Line or Aldean. Have you met a lot of the artists or just kinda do your work and kinda stay out of the way?

Whatever you go with I'm sure you will make look just as good as the rest of your projects. Looking forward to seeing it!

I usually end up with some kind of relationship with the artist even if its only by name. Not BFFs or anything like that. Country artists are typically nice people and care who is doing things for their shows so they'll get to know you in some aspect. Tyler Farr was super cool too, at one point me and a few others ended up pike fishing with him in Canada.

Thanks man. I'm pretty sure I'm going to go with the Blackvue 660. I'm just waiting on a response to some questions I had from blackboxmycar.com. I'm debating doing a four camera set up. A main unit in the front and rear and the little rear facing cameras on the side in the little windows in the access cabs that you can't roll down. That would give 360 degree coverage. The draw back of that though is it will essentially double the money.

thats cool. Tyler Farr, i met him in a local dive bar, we fist bumped lol. met quite a few at that dive bar. neat little place. have met Chase Bryant, Drew Baldridge, Dylan Scott all at that bar. I love how country artists care about their fans and the people that work for them.

that would be cool man. either way im sure you'll make a good decision.
