Rinse free wash, two buckets, 5 MF towels. I only use 3 gallons of water and by using two buckets i can reuse my mixture of Rinse Free Wash solution.

    Drought Friendly.

I'm about to go hillbilly and start parking the truck on the remainder of the front lawn and wash it there instead of the driveway.

I actually stopped watering the lawn with sprinklers and now use my washing machine water to do it. I've saved thousands of gallons from the city sewer system and use less water this way. :D

    1. Wash the truck every week? LOLOLOLOLOL. How about at every oil change.
    2. Public DIY car wash. I find is easier than at home. Plus gauranteed shade.

after testing different stuff over the years - Optimum No Rinse I've found is a great solution for your problem. Regardless of water restrictions it is all I use to wash my personal truck

    Build thread in sig...
    1: park truck in yard
2: wait until designated lawn watering day
3: "water your lawn" by washing truck in front yard.

Since I have never experienced a drought, can someone tell me how the city enforces the rules. Do they shut off water or have police patrol neighborhoods?

In central Oklahoma we have water rationing regulations just about every summer. We had record rainfall in May though so maybe that will keep the ground saturated for a bit. Anyways, your water stays on and it's not really patrolled. Residentially, people pretty much abide by the regulations. Commercially, people report businesses all the time, although I don't know what comes of it.

Varies by local agency, but I can assure you that police don't have time for that shit. City public utilitly department employees most likely. Here, first instance receives a warning in the mail. After that, I believe you get a $200 fine from the city.

agree with the others on the rinseless wash methods, only need a couple gallons of water. ONR is a great product, can be used as a quik detailer as well

I find it funny CA has a drought and I live in Az where the water is flowing like mad.

Anyways, don't wash it. I haven't washed my truck in months. Every once in awhile I clean the glass so I can see out of it.

    Yeah, you go do that...

    https://www.ncdc.noaa.gov/monitoring-references/dyk/colorado-basin-drought

By the end of October 2010, data from the U.S. Department of the Interior Bureau of Reclamation indicated that the level of Lake Mead had dropped to 1082.36 feet, which is the lowest level since the lake was filled in the 1930s. The previous lowest level was 1083.57 feet, reached in March 1956 during the peak of the 1950s drought. This has serious implications for water supplies in Arizona and Nevada.
