I know this is over, but were the bearings OEM? I've gotten Auto zone bearings before that we're not the exact same dimensions. They have also given me wrong parts as well.

OEM parts, supplied by 05taco4x4. He packs the factory hubs himself. I dont think its him, since he uses OEM parts and there is no play whatsoever in the bearing.

The calipers are 100% exactly the same as second gens!

But what's that contraption in the pics above? Are you using spacers between the spindle and steering stops??

Spacers for the dirt king performance lower control arms! And really? That's not what I was told. I have to be careful because I'm trying to sell these wheels to someone who wont have the same issue as me.

Brakes are the same. I'm running 3rd gen spindles, LCAs, brakes, hubs and wheel bearings in my 2007 with 16" rims

If it didn't grind immediately after install, but after bearing/hub replacement(and only after driving a while), you might want to re-check the parts/installation.
It's hard not to sound like a smartbutt over the web, but the wheel offest hasn't changed, but the hub/bearing has, and grinding started afterwards. I know it's
not grinding on the 17s, but that may be a sign that you've got more going on creating the shift.

Trying swapping caliper bolts. Use the top one for the bottom and bottom for top. Only thing that could have been switched. Is it one continuous to g around the rim? Or the does the line fade/disappear?
