So I bought some 18 watt (edit I said 30. They were 18) lights from these guys a while back and mounted them to the side of my roof rack. The hardware started rusting pretty bad. I just hit these guys up for new hardware and apparently they don't carry them anymore and recommended I go down to a hardware store. Thanks guys for the suggestion. Why don't you go down to the hardware store and send me bolts that don't corrode in 15 minutes.

They are known for selling chinese light bars at highly inflated rates. So not surprising they told you to kick sand.

You bought cheap low quality lights and should expect the hardware to be of equally cheap and low quality. Just go spend five minutes at the hardware store and solve the problem.

How much am I supposed to spend to get some small LED lights to light up the side of my truck off my roof rack? A few hundred on some custom rigid to get bolts that don't rust?

Their suggestion is right though. If its a discontinued design, they are not going to have pallets of spare bolts. But thats mainly because they dont make these lights, they buy them premade so spare parts are not a thing anyways.

OK. Fair enough. I will source my own bolts but they also will never get any money out of me again so seems a bit short sighted.

Hmmm. I mean, I don’t really think they’re being unreasonable. If they don’t carry the stuff any longer it kind of makes sense.

At least they told you that the bigger stores don’t carry the metric stuff, that was a battle I fought at home depot around me because I didn’t realize they don’t have the metric sizes haha.

i also understand your frustration at the same time.

Honestly, for lights like your looking for, check out walmart. I got some baja design s2 knock offs from there that may not be able to ignite a campfire from 30 yards but they still light up the area pretty well. When I got them I swapped all the hardware out for better stuff.

Cali Raised customer service was top notch when I had to deal with them a few weeks ago.

Stop being dramatic and go spend the $2.50 on hardware.

Gonna have to vouch for caliraised. My ditch light brackets started rusting and I reached out to caliraised with no expectation of help because I did not buy directly from them. I bought through tacomalifestyle. Instead, caliraisedled sent me new brackets and no cost to me.

everyone will have a different experience and a lot of it is opinion and feelings based. The fact is that not everyone can be always helped unfortunately… though a new bolt or two will only cost a dollar or two, and isn’t that much of a hassle if you look at it. Just buy stainless.

Does that truck stay parked on the beach or somethin'? My caliraised lights didn't do that after 2 years of use.
