Has anyone put the caliraised ditch lights, or spots, in place of the caliraised fogs? I never use my fog lights, and I really like having ditch lights, I just have never come around to really liking the look of the ditch lights being hood mounted. Im considering going with the fog mounts and instead of the fog pods, doing spots, or ditch lights and angling them outwards to act as true ditch lights.

I drive a lot on country roads and constantly am on the look out for deer. the 30" combo beam I have now really helps, but I would like to expand that view to the left and right more and thinking that maybe taking advantage of the fog placement might get me the function and look I'd be ok with.

Thoughts? been done? or would they be too low to be functional?

or am I being stupid and that's exactly what the caliraised LED fog pods are?

I have BajaDesigns Squadron combo beam lights mounted in place of my stock fog lights. They are too bright to be used when traffic is around, but are awesome on country roads.

you might have to get a little creative figuring out how to angle them out since the mounting doesn't really allow for left-to-right adjustment.

But you can put any beam pattern you want in the fog pockets

Yes - that is exactly what the caliraised fog lights are though
