hazards...I'd have to go look but I don't recall that it dips down like that on my 16, it's just square.

as for the volume control on the wheel, I always thought that because of the head unit design of
volume going from left to right as it increases make the controls on the wheel as they should be.

I think in this thread , it takes more of an "Off-road Car Deficiency" connotation...

...all jokes aside...as much as I agree, it has become very much main stream slang or synonymous with things that get under your skin, bother one, besetting or can't be accepted unless done your way.

I wish it came with a Front Locker button on the center console.

Someone brought up the reason was the volume goes left to right on the display. I gave contradiction. The Corolla is valid, same brand with similar media display.

You're still wrong and the Corolla should not be used as a measuring stick.

My 2015 Tacoma had a similar head unit and the buttons on the steering wheel were switched.

Cool beans. That still has nothing to do with this Tacoma and how the buttons make sense.

My thought on the hazard button - Toyota made it large and coming down at the same spot that the mirror defrost button is coming up to help separate the climate control and 4x4 control knobs. I don't think there's any regulation on hazard button size as I've seen some tiny triangle ones on modern Fords

My 14 too. The vol up down lower buttons were so much smarter. Was one of the first things I noticed. I got over it, but I’m not over seeing the round chrome dash vent trim reflection in the driver door mirror. Puts me on the edge of wuss cliff.

100% true. I came out of a 16 f150 and the controls drive me crazy. The radio and information center buttons are opposite, the volume up and down is left and right..the one that really gets me on my truck is I have auto dimming brights but NOT AUTO ON/OFF HEADLIGHTS. wtf kind of sense does that make.....

This screwed me up so bad when going from my 2nd gen to the 3rd gen. If I remember correctly, the 2nd gen had volume where the phone controls are in the 3rd gen. I.E. it made sense....
