Lol. I have, once, but that was back in 2015 when Toyota had one at the local fair. I don't really remember much, I had some beers that day.

I'm curious now, maybe I'll visit the dealer just to see what you guys are talking about.

:rofl:Yeah it’s fucked. Just develop your technique, anticipate the roll and keep your weight “clocked” I guess would be the best way to explain it. And fucking launch yourself in like a master.

The cab is just a 2nd Gen cab with high strength steel, 2nd Gens had a Grab Handle and an Air Bag so your best bet would be to simply modify a 2nd Gen handle.

LOL. Hold your horses He-Man. I knew someone would say something like this. Oh we can climb into it but we'd rather grab ahold of something. Just like you could walk to work but would rather drive.

Ah I see, good luck with that one, I personally wouldn't mess with trying to sell any. That would be a messy situation with insurance companies & injuries if the truck was ever in an accident.

Liability is huge, but that wouldn’t be your first issue. Your first issue would be the ridiculous complaints like “why is the finish on the upper fastener dulling more than the lower one” “is this spot of rust/plastic flashing normal?” Then you’ll get a call out thread, have to do damage control, and in the end you’ll wonder why you decided to have fun with a passion project and share it, and you would have been better off binge watching forensic files on Netflix, but are instead sorting through all the hate mail from OCD consumers.

Oh yeah most definitely, so many people today who think they have OCD want everything perfect & cheap in price. Way too many critics these days. And if you don't secure your great idea & design, it will get stolen & knocked off in a matter of days.

Just a guess, but I think the right handle will work on the left? We just need the trim piece.

For all the noobs out there having to do a 5 point ass shift in order to get in, wearing down your upholstery, think of your truck as an opponent. If you’ve ever dabbled in high school wrestling/JJ/MMA, use that. You’re gonna want to shoot in. Tuck your chin, shoot low and step through with your right foot, get your under hook in with your left hand, plant your right foot at the base of the fuel pedal, pivot off your right foot (placement is key) rotate your hips into the seat, place your steering wheel into a rear naked choke until it taps or passes.

There was a thread talking about lack of the driver's side grab bar, someone posted this.

If you really need an assist to get in your truck, maybe just get one of these and mentally prepare yourself for the ribbing you will surely receive.

    https://youtu.be/m-BKVuWOUVs

And adding an actual grab handle to the driver's side pillar is a huge liability in an accident, imo.

That's what the steering wheel is for. Many on here saying that when the truck is on, the steering wheel doesn't really work, not sure why especially if your grabbing the steering wheel in the bottom left (like SW) side. Steering wheel shouldn't really turn when grabbing in that area. JMO

I admit on my test drive I was where the hell is the grab handle not that I need or use it I am 6'2" Its just something that should be there.

The next thing was what the hell the headlights are not automatic and the dash don't dim and get brighter by a sensor. Its not like the tacoma is short on sensors lol. Even my 2000 Land Cruiser has fully auto headlights. I dont think I have touched that stock in 3 years.

They do offer Auto Headlights on the Tacoma, but they are not standard equipment.

So I'm not well-versed on the Tacoma yet but is there a foreign model that has a steering wheel on the right hand side?
wouldnt you be able to use their grab bar for our side?
