I owe you a huge thank you! It’s people like you that want the new car smell so bad that you trade in a perfectly good low mileage Toyota for a new one.

I’ve saved so much money buying low mile trucks from people doing that in the past, that it more than helped me payoff my new one! Thanks!!

Since banks are allowed to fractionally lend on depositors money and most people sign their paychecks every week effectively endorsing private credit and bonding the money supply. The liability is actually on all of us...so if you don’t pay your loan the rest of us will. Why knock the OP we’re all in the same boat it’s called voluntary economic slavery. Don’t want to participate in the system then start redeeming lawful money under Title 12 USC 411 otherwise say nothing when you don’t understand how the system works.

That’s how I usually do it, but with the Taco used 15s are more than new 18s.

I know, I tried to get a low mile 2017 but went with a new one, too. Paid it off within a month though.:)

Yeah, in Canada a "Life Sentence" is 25 years for a prison term. A mortgage term is typically the same, or 30 years. Sadly, it's the reason we are at the beck and call of the "system" (that we built ourselves) . No political shift can happen if the majority of the population is 1 paycheque away from foreclosure and repossession.

Every vehicle I've purchased has been with cash (including new). Walking in with a bag of cash has been a good bargaining chip.

I'd rather financial freedom that heated seats.
And OP, good for you. If it makes you happy, and you can afford it...enjoy your truck!

That is because the Tacoma holds its value so well. Do that with almost 90% of vehicles and the same wont hold true. Especially in your example of a Hyundai. In the long run though it is a smarter financial decision for the majority who does not have much money.

My question would be yes you can sell it for 4k from what you paid OTD. But did you finance? At what rate? Typical 30k loan at 2.9% is going to be about 2.5k in interest over two years. So that 4k turns into 6.5k. These sunk costs are sometimes hidden. Also doing this your keeping a car payment where you could be putting that money elsewhere. But again each persons financial well being is different.

Without knowing all the facts of the OP's purchase we really can't tell if he got fleeced or is gaming the system. Just like in your example. But typically those mailers work out in the dealers favor and generally trading in vehicles after 2 years is always a loss. The OP came here to gloat about this decision. Without all the facts, we really don't know how well it is.

Yep. I will probably do that too. Why not? I can't take it with me so might as well drive a new vehicle to my grave.

C'mon man. Buying a "new" anything is stupid financially. Buying a truck like this is stupid financially. We do it because we WANT it, not because we NEED it, and we are willing to PAY for that WANT.

So if a guy wants to trade every two months and can afford it, then go for it! If he wants to keep trading and having a longer term, go for it!
Bottom line, if we bought a Tacoma new then we already f'd up and shouldn't be advising anyone lol. I have two roads right now: 1) is my savings and retirement where I am the most careful guy ever. 2) Is my stupid money, where I buy things I don't need and practice more stupid when I buy a vehicle new, and it's a truck!

Maybe he gets a stipend from work. I get money from work to have a brand new vehicle just about every 18 months.

The only thing you did wrong was naming your thread like flame bait. I don't know why but it sounds like everyone took the bait! TW users are easily triggered.

I just paid off my 2016 TRD Sport. Did it in 3 years.

I like all the bells and whistles you can get on a 2019. Cross Traffic Alerts, Blind Sport Monitoring, Leather, Heated Seats.

I could give a rats ass what all you pretentious people think about me trading in my vehicle and getting bent over. I want what I want when I want it.

It's my money an I'll waste it where I want.

I also am not going to start a LOOK AT ME LOOK AT ME thread either.

OP is just looking for attention.

I’m not looking for attention just bringing up those mailers you get that everyone assumes is a scam is somewhat true. If I went with the SR5 I probably would’ve not had a raise in monthly payments like those mailers claim.
