I'm hoping to upgrade my suspension from 5100s set at 2.5 with stock coils to 5100s with either Eibachs or OME coils. Since the engine as well as the cab size makes a noticeable difference on the amount of lift you get, I figured I'd try to get the most accurate info possible through this thread.

So, if you have a first Gen 4 banger with a 2.5-3" lift, please leave the parts you used as well as a measurement from the center of the hub to the top of the wheel well. This should be a lot of help to me as well as many others in the future with our category of trucks.

I've got the same truck, put on a set of 5100s with OME 881's and gained around 2 inches or so. I'm sitting at 24" I believe from Hub to fender. I'm happy with the ride.

One thing to keep in mind with the eibachs is that they are 620 pound spring rate, which is damn stiff. They'll probably give you at least 3" of lift but with no weight up front the ride will be roughhh. OME has a few different length coils with around a 500 pound spring rate (883 I believe).

Here's a pic of mine, its settled a slight bit since then, but I'd say 2 inches is accurate. Also have a AAL installed

Just the stock 265/70/16. Bought them before the lift and didn't want it to look out of place. 265/75/16 would probably been what I went with had these not been pretty much brand new.

I got a 2" AAL from trail gear but had to cut it slightly in order to install. But at least 1.5" in the rear I'd say

Could you take a hub-to-fender measurement in the front and rear when you have the chance? It would help a lot. I'll try to get some measurements of my own tomorrow morning.

I'm just running a top plate spacer for now, plan to upgrade soon. But I did gain 3 inches in the front with that and I'm running a 32x11.50 on 16x10s 4 in bs. Also on the fence on what coils to go with whether the eibachs or 883s. Don't have measurements off the top of my head.

The coils are so confusing and unpredictable, am I right?

Yep same. But I'll most likely have until Christmas to make a final decision.

Yea me too. I mean some places say you absolutely can't use the 620 lb eibachs or 883s with the 4 cyl because it'll lift too much, and I feel like the 881s just won't lift it that full 3 or so inches.

I'm on kings with 650lb coils, overkill for a 4 banger but maybe I'll be dropping a new motor in

Kings set at what ever they usually are and a 1.5" lift shackle in the back on 275/70r18 33.4x11.320170826_135005.jpg

I'm on 650lb kings and the ride is a bit stiff but I am pretty sure I have more than the 2.5" kings are usually set at

So I got measurements of ~24" up front, and right around 24.5-24.75" in the rear.
