    HAHAHAH!!! There was a bar right outside the gate where the guys from my command would all go....what the heck was the name....started with an M I think (kinda like a biker bar).

    Anyway, I might be headed out to Pendleton again for a visit, get me some carne asada burritos and pure platinum! lol

    Wasn't there a bar in Clemente called the Ironhead or something like that? Used to be a good place to drink a beer in peace. Not a lot of brass or SNCOs would go in there.

    Numbers honestly. Lots of people say its because of that unfortunate event with an army general in Korea but they are disbanding this year. Everyone is getting orders right now. I left 3/4 this past fall for ttecg.

    I will probably be there. I am still stationed there.

    Not sure if much about that has changed over the years. When I went to MOS school, the only way you could take a POV was if the school was 6 months or longer. We had one guy though that was from a really rich family (i.e. think Donald Trump rich) who was with us. I will give him credit, he joined to serve because he was one HELL of a Marine, dedicated as I have ever seen. Anyway, while we were not allowed to have a POV on base, so this guy BOUGHT a house off base and had some friends bring his car and truck up to that house. Weekend liberty was usually spent at his "house" and at some bars. He was a pretty cool guy. Not sure what happened afterwards. I lost touch after we graduated from MOS school.

    Wrong Deleon then. The one I knew was a tank mechanic. I trained him on the M1 Abrams when we got them. (4th Maint BTN, 4th FSSG)
