    I spent 4 yrs in the Corps,Stationed out of Cherry Point,NC .I was a crewchief on a transport plane C-119 ,flew to the Suez Canal crisis in 1956 and flew into Vietnam in 1958 as US Military Advisors and supplying weapons to the South Vietnamese.

    The USMC told me I couldn't be a grunt anymore, so I EAS'ed in May 05.
    I miss it every day.

    Yes the air Force had several squadrons of them ,I think the Marines only had 4 squadrons of the C-119 .The squadron I was with VMR 153 was de-commishioned in 1961 and they went with the C-123 ..In Hagerstown ,Md at the Aviation Museum they have a C119 Boxcar from the Air Force...

    Was stationed in Kaneohe Bay Hawaii but I am now in the MECEP program attending the university of Utah in Salt Lake City.

    Just got rid of my 2008 sti hatch for an 11' trd off-road dbl cab in super white. It also had that "tx pro" package with different wheels, full exhaust, and a small spacer lift.

    It's good to see a strong military presence on this forum, I really miss the fleet now that I'm off in college trying to get that commission!
