I am just curious how many (or how few) of us here are the original owner of their 1st gen truck? (as if I needed to further alienate myself:D)
I bought mine new in May 2001 and nobody's driven it but me (and the required Toyota tech, and Rosie a few times) almost 96,000 miles problem-free. I have a feeling there aren't a lot of us here.

I got mine new in '97 and was the only driver until it got bought back for the frame recall. Drove it about 180,000 trouble free miles.

That qualifies you cause I know you would still have it:) but I don't think there are many if any other ones here! This will be an eye opener.

Of course I am the Original owner ;).....And my kids have driven ( and pin-striped ) it....Luckily it is "juice" drive too, It taught my daughter what 4x4 means ....

My only problem will be when the Grand daughter gets her license,it then becomes hers....;):D...

I drove my '01 off the lot in October 2001.
It has been driven all over from Canada to Dallas to Colorado.
I have 167K and done ALL the work on it myself - mostly bolt on stuff, bumper, lift, etc. and the regular maintenance inc timing belt, H2O pump, etc.
I expect to get another 150K out of it too!

Drove mine off the lot in July 2002 and she has around 100,500 miles and never has any issues with her other than replacing the battery and tires.
I have the tires for life deal so the tires were FREE. :D

2001 Silver DC that was purchased with 800 miles on it and now has 211K. The owner of the dealership drove it then wanted something else I guess. Its my DD and am suprised at how much abuse this truck has taken but will still do it all and in relative comfort.

I'll probably never have another one like it.

Hey we got us a convoy:D I really thought I was going to be the only one. I am glad I asked because it's nice to see other proud original owners besides me who won't give up a good thing! it's also cool to see the stories behind these trucks and the amazing amount of miles without an ioda of trouble.

Bought mine new in '99. Wanted a basic 4x4 4cyl power nothing. No bells or whistles. They found it for me. All that was on the lot was access cabs. Paid 16g's & now I've got over 140,000mi (mostly beach miles) & runnin strong![
