I was looking hard at the number two pic thinking it was the Crescent City Lighthouse. I'm a little south, Humboldt.

My wife and I did the same from north to south in late 2015... and then after we did, we said: "fuck Ohio", and we moved to coastal nor-Cal.

Yeah, Weve spoken about it, Id love to if I could get work. We took the PCH from San Fran to the Redwoods and We were in love the whole way. Tahoe and San Diego were awesome as well.

We made to half moon bay to see mavericks which was super cool ad well.

As soon as we got home, we started applying for jobs. In 6 months we both had job offers, within a day of each other. She's an RN and I'm a cop and there's a shortage of both of those things here. We were moved 7 months after we first vacationed out here. 2600 miles from the closest family / friends we had. Kind of scary, but it's 10 months in now, and it's working out great!

Start looking for work out here. If shit is meant to be, it'll happen. You gotta get the ball rolling, though.

I shoot with a Canon 5Dmk3 and usually do my auto shots with either my 24-105 or the 17-40. Couple shots of the truck and a few of others

I shoot sprint car racing and fly fish in my spare time. The best racing in the world. 900+hp, 1200 lbs, caution laps don't count.

You ever hear of Levi Jones? He used to drive for Tony Stewart Racing. Levi is from my hometown, Olney, IL. Think Levi is the director of USAC non-wing sprints now. I see him on the televised dirt track races once in awhile walking around with his headset and notepad.

Yep, I don't see too much USAC in Ohio anymore but I know who he is. He had a pretty good run in Tony Stewarts stuff a few years back before abruptly retiring.

Its a nice little spot for mall crawlers to get dirty in South Orange County. Not too much to back there, most of the area is fenced off now to keep people from messing around. If you're into mountain biking or hiking that's a better excuse to make the trip down.

It's not really specific to anything. This has more turned into an all around photography thread.

Nice, good work. My only suggestion is to be sure the horizon is level.

I wish I was a photography nerd, but I'm too broke from all my mods to afford a decent camera :pout:

    Welp, you got it right.
You sign, "Lost Coast". Back in the 70's, I used to spend so much time exploring the Kings Range. Camping at the mouth of the Matole, Saddleback Mtn, to Usal creek, and everywhere else.
Of course that was before everything either got locked behind gates, or taken over by the farmers in the Emerald Triangle.

Indeed. I live in Ferndale, actually. I'm a recent transplant here.

I ride dual sport bikes and this summer I explored every legit road in the King Range and South Fork Mt / 36 (Mad River). Lots of great stuff, for sure. I hear tell that there's tons more good stuff behind all the gates, as you said.
