Awesome sea scapes, I happened to get a nice meteor last weekend while on the top of bald mountain where the fire lookout is.

Running away from the thunderstorm this past Saturday by driving toward it on Globe Mine Road in Mojave National Preserve. I was hoping with 40% cloud cover forecast and 10% Thunderstorm forecast I could find an opening for the Milky Way, NOT!

Solid plan, get them to buy themselves a decent camera too so you don't have to risk anything with your Mk4 lol

I have a 5D Mark II I dont mind letting someone use. That camera has a special place in my heart though.. Such good color science on that sensor.

I swear, 80% of the time Im shooting time lapse, the Mark II composition comes out better than what I was trying to shoot with the Mark IV. hahaha I think I try too hard with the first camera and the backup comp always turns out nicer LOL!

The 5D Canon series is absolutely amazing but I wouldn't trade anything for my full-frame Pentax K-1. The lenses are so well made, the camera is so well made, it actually has a verified weather-proofing that I can actually test instead of taking a Canon out in a downpour and have it be destroyed. Not to mention the lenses are exceptionally cheap and professional quality. I'd rather pay my $1500 for a 24-70 f2.8 instead of $3000 at Canon or Nikon's latest price hike and still get the same quality lol!

Maybe your eye cant notice a difference, but I doubt its the same quality. You'd need to compare them in benchmark testings done in a lab. There really is a reason L glass is expensive.. Edge sharpness, contrast, chromatic aberrations, coma, and lens flare are all things to consider when ranking a lens. (For me at least)

Also color science and focusing system are no comparison when lined up against a canon. :spy:

Having said that I used to use an old Pentax K1000 35mm film camera. Had a lot of fun with that thing in Jr high about 15 years ago lol camera was solid as hell haha.
