Most everything is open but some places close early. Some restaurants are take out only. Bring masks as some stores require them now. It’s been hot with some pretty good afternoon storms coming through. Get off of the beaches when they do, we just had a 15 yr old from Texas hit by lightning. Have fun!

Lol , have fun and soak it up. Watch out for old people and tourists at the circle. Fishing has been decent from what I’m hearing. Snook off of the beach. Cheers

Be happy you are coming to SRQ. I just got back from a week of fishing in the keys and lots of places were closed due to lack of tourism. Everyplace required a mask and they were strict about it. Walking Duval St. in Key West in 90 degree heat wearing a mask SUCKED!

Off of the beach, live shrimp will catch whiting, pompano, snook, snapper- almost anything. Feather tail jigs are working well for snook right now.

If you can get some greenback or small pin fish for bait, you’re gonna kill it.

If you choose the Sarasota area, PM me. Like anywhere there are less desirable areas.

Those are tough parameters now a days. We are having a flood of people from up north moving here. You’ll more then likely be shown the Lake Sarasota area. Best of luck.

It may be a little more expensive but you may be able to find something in the gulf gate area of Sarasota if you have some luck on your side. Homes are a bit older 70’s and 80’s. Only 5-10 minutes to siesta key. A lot of the problem with trying to find a home in the $300,000 range is that there are tons of cash offers and the regular folks who need a mortgage can’t even compete. Good luck in your search.
