I used to scrap a ton when I worked as a tech for a shop..I was pulling an extra 5-700 a month in, for free stuff.

Now, not so much. I wish I had access to some big stuff. Now its all junk metal

I scrap. They just passed a new law here Oct. 1st Anything over $100 they HAVE to pay by check, ANY copper paid by check, go there twice in one day they pay by check. TGhey have to take my picture and a picture of my load!! Total bullshit, how does this fight thieves? All they have to do is cut up the metal beyond recognition, and what happens when they try to blame me for stealing? I don't even have a bank account either man, I'm just aggravated as hell by this, all the scrap yards are pissed off too.

I live in Maine and the scrapyard I go to only makes me show and ID last I remember, they pay me by check no matter how much, that does sound like a pain though

I have my waterjet drops and mill/lathe chips picked up every two or three weeks. Lots of stainless and aluminum. Typically 2-3k each load

Things. Stuff. Lots of bad decisions.
    Mostly Zip-Ties

What you need is a forge! Melt all that down and pour it right into a mold, $.10 in scrap metal just became a $10 genuine Pelfreybilt forge crafted bottle opener.

I’d buy two of em

    Edit: Holy thread resurrection!
