I wouldn't start it back to back, that would make no sense. Why would you remote start it and then get right in and start it again? Most logical people would use it for what it's intended, meaning the starts wouldn't be "back to back" they would be 5 to 10 mins apart. Well outside of any problematic time frame.

you should start it 14 times a day.. it'll actually make your starter last longer!

So I'm starting the car from in my house when it's snowing out, and when I walk out to get into the truck it shuts off So you're saying I should wait five minutes before restarting it so I can go to where ever I'm going?
Starting it immediately after it's remotely started is because the truck shuts off when the doors opened. This is my original complaint

@Stoked4 You are probably overthinking the issue. If you remote start the truck, finish putting on your boots and gloves, pour the shot of GM in the coffee mug, then walk out to the great white expanse you're going to be fine. If you are using the starter like a white chick and start it while you are 20 feet away in the mall parking lot you might eventually have an issue.

Right, but then when I walk up to the truck and open it, the truck will shut off. then I'll be restarting it again, I know it's silly but the whole fact that the truck shuts off when it's opened and there's no bypass.... is Silly
Point of this thread was to see if anybody had figured out a way to avoid this , but it seems like not too many people have a remote start with their push to start vehicles

Are you shitting me dude

You start the car from in your house, wait 5 mins before you go outside (because it's warming up) the engine turns off and you restart it.

It's been 5 minutes between starts because you started it over 5 minutes ago.

    Ya think? :D

Do you think that's a typical use case? Throughout the year, every single time someone goes to start their vehicle they'll use the remote start first? I have trouble seeing this example as anything but a strawman.

Right, but read back in the post, a member stated that when he had done exactly what you said it took the car 20 seconds of cranking and it wouldn't start, he then had to sit and wait for a bit before starting it up
The issue isn't time between starts, but time between the truck shutting off due to the opening of the door to the second start when you get in

I'd suggest you first determine that this is a real issue affecting anyone else before wasting any more of people's time on it. How many other instances of that behavior have you found? How do you know that is how it's supposed to be instead of a misconfigured setup or some other problem?

The 20 second cranking thing is a problem, that's absolutely not supposed to happen and is likely an isolated issue.

I've heard this from one person about the 20 second bs, I only brought it up because someone misunderstood one of my posts. Others have confirmed that there was no waiting involved

Yet you keep bringing it up...

... and BTW the only misunderstanding came from you stating "push button starts were required to come with this type of fail safe" in reply to an exchange about the 20-second delay when you in fact meant the door-open shutoff.
