Well, I got a Reckless driving ticket last night for doing 103 in a 70 on the 29 bypass. I'm a dumbass. I was only doing that speed for maybe 2 seconds as I came down a hill and coasted back up, but still the dumbest decision I've ever made. Right at the last 10 minutes of my 3 hour drive from West Virginia after a day that started awesome and ended up being majorly disappointing. My first ever ticket or time being pulled over and really one of my only times ever even speeding. My life is over.

From someone with a reckless ticket on their record do whatever you need to do to get is reduced. They stay on your record for 11 years. I missed out on several jobs b/c insuring me as well.

Good luck and get the best lawyer you can afford

    Yeah, in my truck.

Stephen, that's not what I want to here :/ I wonder how ruined my insurance rate will be?

Brandon: Was this in VA? How was your insurance after? What was the process?

That's literally the top of what this truck will do.

And like I said, I was going down a hill. It wasn't like I was racing or just generally driving fast. Ridiculously steep hill.

See if they will let you take the driver improvement class, that is what they offered me after an accident I had. Took the day long course and they removed all charges and points. Like it didn't happen. Insurance was involved so that did not change.

The class might be mandatory. I got two speeding tickets and both times I had to go to the class. My wife got one right before she left to come over here and she took the class three days before moving here. I wouldn't be surprised if they say take the test at DMV again as well.

I had a Thule Xsporter 422XT. I can't remember how high I had it set but it would go a lot higher. I think I did have it off centered a bit because I wanted to get full use of the changing room.
