Avoid auto xtras, I'm just gonna leave it at that. The AAL would've been better than the block, and if you want to install the lift just come to my house.

    Sounds good, my man...

So what about wheels and tires? Local place? Or should I look online?

And those Stealth wheels on your truck are awesome...all sold out, though, apparently.

SCS gets shipments in every 2-3 months of wheels, they sell fast so I'd pm them if you want a set and they'll put you on a list. Tires you can always find better deals online than at a shop.

Sounds good...I'm eyeballing a couple of other manufacturers, too. Just wasn't sure about getting everything mounted with TPMS...so I always defaulted to a do-it-all shop.

a trusted tire shop can mount the TPMS with no problems, getting the alignment how you want may be an issue however. I have a good friend who owns a tire shop and will do your alignment if you want. What size tires are you thinking about?

The lift I have will give my '16, at best, another 1"...maybe. This is according to the folks at HeadStrong. With that in mind, I'll go with something similar to what was on my '13 - either 265/70x17 or 265/75x16. Both of those tires are almost exactly the same size, height wise, and I know they'll work fine on a truck with no lift - so rubbing shouldn't be an issue if I ever decide to take my poser truck off-road...lol

Won't 33's rub terribly? I'll only have 2"-ish of lift...

And with the block lift I had on the '13, the 17" 265's I had rubbed when I turned the wheel sharply...

Lift has nothing to do with clearing tires. If you can't fit it at stock height, you won't fit it with a lift. Suspension range of motion stays the same unless you bump it way early.

Yea, what ckeene said. Rubbing can be fixed. My other question is what back space wheels are you gonna have? And do you have aftermarket or stock UCA's? If you get a good alignment that will help rubbing issues, either way you're trimming sounds like so let's trim for 33's, if you are gonna go off road with this truck we can go ahead and cut the cab mount too.

    I don't understand how I could've missed this...lol

My understanding was that lifting the body higher would allow for more room for tires, vertically...if that makes sense. So even if the range of motion didn't change, the "bottom" of the lift would still be slightly higher than being stuffed into the wheel well - so I figured I could go with a larger tire/wheel combo ONLY if I lifted high enough.

    This changes things. Maybe.

And on the alignment, thing...my truck always pulled HARD to the left. Terribly. Even after taking it back to the shop to have it looked at again - they told me it was the lift and that, while it pulled hard, the alignment was fine. I'm guessing it was since my tires didn't wear unevenly but it was always DAMNED annoying. The folks who own the shop are old family friends...but I'm happy to go to your buddy's place if he can give me a straight steering wheel and a truck that tracks forward.

Didn't answer your questions. Haven't quite decided on wheels and tires. And the '16 is still bone stock.

And if you guys know anyone looking for an Avid light bar and All-Pro sliders...I have brand new ones of each. Never got them on my old truck and now they're just taking space. I'll sell them for what I paid and I'll eat the shipping.

Sorry, this is off topic. I just wanted to give the local TW guys a shot @ this before I take this stuff to the dump. I have a front bumper & crash bar, & a off road hood both in MGM. They came off my 09 & are both in good shape. Free to a good home.

Awesome. Your truck blows me away. Good stuff.

Thinking about Avid sliders. Not too much - considering they'll be used more for steps than anything else...

And by "not too much" - I mean price wise...I read a thread about them and even the bolt on sliders seemed to be stronger than I would've expected

Even after shipping, they're still hundreds less than some of the other options

If you have even the thought of wanting to go off-road, skip the avid sliders.

Bolt-on sliders have their Pro's and cons as well. Easy to install but you're creating a great environment for frame rust to occur.
