    This is a link to Snowden, VA and Hercules Rd., in the George Washington National Forest where camping is allowed and there are camping sites scattered all up the road. There are NO houses, businesses, or anything on this road. It was a road to quarry that is now abandoned but the road is still open to the public, which is used only for campers, hunters, Appalachian Trail hikers and fishers (stocked trout stream). There is also a good off road trail called Peavine that is also off this road. I haven't been on it in years but I plan to go soon, as soon as I get time. I won't have time to head up there for a couple weeks, even though it's only 10 minutes from my house, but when I do I will post an update to the status of the trail.

    I think there are 3 quicksands with camper shells running around, imagine that. I saw one from a distance and thought it was my "sport" twin but passed him farther down the road. I have the TRD with the camper shell. I am going to go to Peavine Sunday for the first time in over 10 years. It will be my first off road experience in the truck so I'm a little nervous about damaging something but I'm going anyways. I'm taking my gopro and will post the video up here Monday when I get back to work. If you have nothing planned, or anyone else, let me know and we can meet up.
