Hey Guys, fairly new on here and wanted to get some advice. I found some black TRD trail team wheels on craigslist for a really good price ($500). They do have about 30,000 miles on them though...Do yall think it would be worth it?

Welcome! And you can get those wheels for about $650 shipped new. I guess it depends on how those look and if they are willing to negotiate

Glad to have someone else interested and yea like BSheriff said I'd shop around alittle bit first and then if you don't find anything else then roll with it. But welcome and if you have any questions just throw em up and if you want a decal let me know.

woke up and checked my bank account, got my taxes back. that being said paid off two bills. now the only monthly payments I have are truck payment, insurance (which is ridiculous in Germany 3x as much as it is when I was in Virginia), and internet/house phone bill. Time for some wheels and tires! Thinking either 285/75R16 or 295/75R16 General Grabber AT2s or Nitto Terra Grapplers on SCS F-5s. 285s obviously being cheaper but 295s aren't that much more on tirebuyer.com, what do you all think? If I go 295 I'd probably also go with a one inch body lift. I have the cab mount chop plates already just need to do the chop. Would there be much more trimming of the fender to accomodate 295s? My SGT has 285s and the same 3 inch lift I have and it just looks small after looking at it in the parking lot the past 3 weeks. let me know what you all think 285s or 295s and 1" body lift? General Grabber AT2s or Nitto Terra Grapplers?

    On http://www.tirebuyer.com/:
    General Grabbers AT2 285/75R16 are $663.04 shipped
    General Grabbers AT2 295/75R16 are $749.32 shipped

Nitto Terra Grapplers 285/75R16 are $703.28 shipped
Nitto Terra Grapplers 295/75R16 are $731.48 shipped

Why the body lift? Especially on that new truck, those body lifts are no good. 285's would look great on your 3" ome setup or I personally like 255/85/16

285's or you might as well start cutting for 315's.

Good luck man and it also kinda depends on what you'll be doing with the tires I'm thinking of going with the general grabber at2's as well.

Just an extra inch of lift to possibly help with some of the rub with the 295s. Probably just gonna go with 285s and the SCS f-5s with 3.5"bs and scrap the body lift.

I don't wheel much being over here in Germany, but I'm hoping the grabbers will perform well both on and off road for the times I do go out. When I get stateside I plan on doing a lot more wheeling. The Germans kind of get mad when you go offroad over here, I've gotten caught a couple times on what appears to be forest service roads leading to nowhere and they threaten me with tickets if they ever see me again. Just adds to the fun of it though.

I wonder why Germany has laws against off-roading? Are there some environmental issues going on?
