Calling all Virginians (Tidewater area)

I'm thinking I'll do away with the mechanical clutch fan. Wondering if anybody else has done it around here. Not a difficult mod, but I wonder how the truck will like it.

 

You could start a thread HERE, I did a quick search and only found a few tips on when to replace it.

Well, most people don't replace it until it starts to make noise, that's usually the time, because if you wait too long you'll end up overheating or the fan will completely fall off in a worst case. I hate clutch fans, but I was just going to replace it to save money for now, but when they told me $120 for the new POS my jaw dropped.

 

I think kevin ato had done it to his truck. Check with him

If mine was going bad, and I had the money, I'd go with an electric one. No load on the engine unless it's on.

Uh huh... The wife and I were sitting in the ER until midnight with our little man, then got up for work at 3:00 .... I hurts

Not at all... Poor little guy, he's 8mos. and he has an upper respiratory infection and a virus, wish I could trade places with him.

He got me good in the patient room while waiting for test result, gave him 4oz then had him on my chest, started coughing and up came the formula, all over my chest.... After a few minutes I kinda laughed about it.

 

Our son (almost 15 mo. old) just got over bronchitis.. Oral steroids for a week.. When he coughed it just made you want to cringe. Last year same time of the year he got RSV.. Coughed so hard he got a hernia. I tell yah.. Been there done that. I hope he gets to feeling better quick! Good thing about children they usually recover fast (eventhough it may feel like forever)
