I believe it is the orientation of the solenoids internally. Being they are basically a motor/ switch internally. GRAVITY & bumps can have a negative effect on them.

I have sen them mounted vert in some of the installs though. Personally, on a critical part, I wouldn't want to take a chance- til I see the science on it.

Yea it was humid this a.m., I ran a modest 1:47, so I'm happy with that. Going to watch third eye blind tonight!

I didn't run anywhere, no one was chasing me. :D Instead I completed this:

Along with a host of other mods. Quick question is it okay to paint the aluminum radiator? If so what do you recommend?

Bunch of fasties in here!!! I ran a safe/conservative 2:05... Kept it easy due to the heat and I have the Air Force Marathon in a couple weeks (didn't want to risk an injury this close).
Wasn't quite as hot and humid as last year but pretty damn close.

I used a couple light coats of high temp black. Just enough to knock down the shine. No issues at all with radiator performance.

Yea I ran a 2:02 last year and lost 6 pounds due to the heat and humidity, thought this year was better, but not by much! I was aiming for a 1:40 but woke up and said nope!

Ive messed with too much of that stuff. I use to build stereo systems. I could usually come up with some pretty decent custom stuff.
