Yeah I'm not trying to steal Skygear's bad ass roof rack setup though. Did see that I can run Frontrunner Slimlines on Yakima rails though.

Really don't want to go with bajarack again. I'm less than impressed with their tubing strength. Their racks look cool and for light duty are awesome, but for RTT and packing pelican cases they aren't really up to my standards.

First things first. Gotta get the cap paid off and then get to Missouri to pick it up, after that I'll worry about the eleventybillion other projects that come along with it.

If anyone comes across some Dogfish Head 90min or 120min IPA let me know where that stuff is hiding. Been looking for some for a couple weeks and haven't found any.

300lbs??!?!? Top + RTT = 425. Your leafs are rated for 3 inches of lift @ 500 lbs load. You can prolly go 600-650 before the arse be even with the front. I'd start keeping tabs on weights for the additional equipment.

I had no idea a shell could weigh that much

I'll end up with a custom leaf pack before all is said and done.

I'm figuring with fridge, drawers, power pack, water tank, air tank, rear bumper, shell, spare, I'm going to be at close to 700lbs without gear.

Survived surgery on monday took em over 5 hours instead of the expected two so I ended up staying there til late last night. Surgeon said it's the worst collar bone fracture he's ever repaired -- 8 pieces instead of what they thought was 2-3 tops. Shoulder looks like I got hit by a train. Hopefully this heals quick, now the fun part of sitting around for a month.

Damn man, I know the feeling. Shattered both bones in my fore arm in highschool. Still have titanium plates and screws.

Cap City called me today and A.R.E agreed to build the same reinforced shell that they built for XOverland for $900 cheaper than the Snugtop and I don't have to drive to Missouri.

I'm sure the Snugtop is better built, but I'm not arguing with saving $900 plus the $500 in gas out there and back.
