hmm alright. still debating on maybe getting a aftermarket cv to swap in temporarily so I can take my time on the rebuild.

Just swapped in another. Still need to rebuild the old one. Then I have a spare for the trail.

Sweet. Boot clamp tool came in. ...and it's damn snap ring pliers. They sent the wrong shit.

 

Fawk! Just order that Stepless clamp tool.

 

Other ones I ordered had better reviews. Amazon has been pissing me off lately and jacking up my orders.

Just finished up. Ryan, Linwood, and Brent came over and shot the shit for a few hours, ate some charred burgers and that was about it. Only modding that got done was a 1/4" spacer on my driver side to correct some taco lean. Back is not feeling up to wrestling with some springs so that can wait till next week I think.

Get the autozone axle. You can return it for refund if you are quick on the rebuild. If not, you have a trail spare and its only $50ish for the axle. Either way, its a good feeling knowing your truck is good and you can take your time on the axle rebuild.

If you need a hand let me know (hit up my cell - pm me if you dont have it). We can swap an axle in 20-30min easy.

Edit: Wait, nvmind, I dont have anything to pop your axle out. You have any shallow metal wedges or a pair of heavy duty / thick flat time screw drivers? Ask Brent if we can do it at his place, he already has two front diff oil spots in his garage

 

Aftermarket autozone , 60 bucks, we will see how it holds up.

We used my tie rod fork when we did yours, worked just as well as those wedges we used on Pauls.

 

Yeah, Im still limited on the tools. I the other week I got excited when I bought a pack of ratchet wrenches.

 

I was having issues with my camp table hitting my tailgate so after some Talking to Adam at ATO, I got a refund on the camp table and a hi lift bed mount.

 

Word, at least he did something....

 

I've read some guys say their axles basically pulled right out, others saying they had to pry them apart. Guess I need to pick up a pickle fork. Duralast OEM Re-Man axle with the core was $88.00 from Autozone.

Damn man, should have given me a heads up. I can get a two man gas digger for $30 a day or $50 a weekend.

 

I just have to dig two holes, putting a pull up bar in the back yard.

and Matt I'll be up to pick one up... I'll strap it to my back on my motorcycle. shouldn't cost much in fuel haha
