    Electrical guys, need a hand with this one.
    Replaced battery yesterday with Diehard Platinum 34M
    The posts are a little far back because of height, so I made an extended "bus bar" to reach, used a piece 3/16x3/4 flat bar I had.
    Once everything was connected, started truck, her idle was so low she kept stalling.
    Either the ECU reset is causing low idle, or that piece of flat bar isn't conducting good enough, might swap it for a piece of aluminum.
    No CEL or battery light though, so I'm thinking it's just because of ECU reset ???

    What material is your bus bar extension? That is about the only thing I can think of that would affect the voltage/current transfer????:confused:

    Your best bet is to use copper. But it would be a good time to upgrade the cables and just ditch the bus bar idea.

    I definitely plan to upgrade the cables.

    So it was the conductance of the metal... I cleaned up the bar and the ring terminals and all is well... here's a pic so you have a visual of what I'm talking about

    Nah, the white cable comes from the fuse box and it is at it's limit... the big cable from the starter i think could've made it, but for consistency I decided to do this, copied the idea from another thread I found. This should maintain function until I take the time to change out all cables.
