I didn't even air down for da beach. Should of cuz the washboard sucked.

my trail head deflators are set at 12-14psi.

And popping a bead on the trail is an easy fix with a ratchet strap as long as someone has OBA

I'm very familiar with setting beads after my rim fiasco. sheets pretty easy. I was able to get 2 of 7 beads set with no straps. Worst case you bust out some ether on the trail. Pop said the bead!

Same basic shit everybody else had 5 years ago.
As far as beach driving I always go down to 20 and head out to check the sand conditions. If the sand is really hot, dry, and chalky I'll go another 5-7 but that is it. I did find that while my old set of MTR's were decent in the sand, I aired them down to 15 and could hardly tell. Them sidewalls!

Don't do rock crawling so have nothing to add there. I grew up in south eastern coastal NC where the only off-roading was year around on the beach and hunting season.

My first memories were bouncing around in my dad's 68 Bronco on Carolina Beach.

    Oh yeah.........Good Morning!

I should be home awhile so no big hurry. Need to spend sometime with the family after spending all day yesterday washing my mistress and then today buying lights and a CB.;) Are you going to be in town awhile?

Brent, can I tag along this one? Need a bung welded into an oil pan (also want to look at the rear frame plates and if they are doable).

Not going anywhere anytime soon... Just wanted to know if I can start a project in the garage. Need to do upper and lower ball joints on the Runner before the Big Dogs trip in a month.

That chop will take me about 3.5 hrs if you haven't done any cutting already.

Go ahead and start your project. Plenty of time before dirty fives are going on.

Found a 03 Turbo swapped Single Cab with a bobbed bed for sale on Pirate. Guy says he wants 10k for it.

Looks like it has been wheeled pretty hard and the guy says it needs a bigger intercooler. He said straight up, the turbo sucks dick for any slow going stuff on the trail. Would make a decent overland rig for the woman and I though.

    Decisions decisions...

how often do you see turbo trail rigs just saying. Receipe for overheating, broken CVs and just all around unreliable IMO. Turbos make boost in high rpms. If your going FI on a gasoline engine you need a supercharger. INSTAboost.

Supercharger just recipe for overheat. No I think this turbo stuff has a place. I mean what are Steph and I realistically going to do, move some chicken coop part around, maybe go to a KOA for a night, and shit we might even go down to Corolla in the off season, but I wouldn't buy a turbo if I had any intention of doing any real wheeling.
