    Are you worried about frame stress/rust? I would be worried about adding all that weight and stress to a 20+ year old frame coupled with the added HP upfront. But it would make a slick spot for putting the drag chute; have to check the NHRA rule book.

    Since the swingout is bolted to such a rigid bumper that would be bolted or welded to the frame I think it would be legal

    Good on the boxed frame...did Brent weld that?

    Thought chute was mandatory at strip...sorry! But you got to admit a chute on the swingout would be bad ass!

    Nope, just getting a little extra power for less $$$ and less heat, wear and tear than the TRD blower... Install is going to be a bit harder though...

    Doesn't turbo compressor use exhaust gas as motive force for turbine? Seems to me there would be more heat vice less :confused:

    Less intake heat as in less heat generated when compressing the air. The TRD blower is inefficient and doesn't have an intercooler and intake temps get pretty high. It also has a pinging issue in high gear/high load that you cant get rid of without pulling a lot of timing, running E-85, or installing meth injectors. Turbo intake temps should be much more manageable.

    Sure, heat under the hood might get higher with the turbo but I got that figured out. Oil cooler and water lines will keep it running cool and a heat blanket will help further manage the heat. Shouldn't get too much hotter than your typical TRD bower + headers setup :notsure:

    I would think it important to keep all under hood temperatures low...a modern engine is designed and modeled very precisely within a normal operating band with deviations outside of the design parameters effecting efficiency...that said is there compensation performed by hacking the ECU?
