Calling all Virginians (Tidewater area)

I wondered about the road force thing and if it was legit. Seemed like mixed reviews. It comes down to I have new black wheels and I want to make sure they don't screw them up with the clamp on weights and use the adhesive. Seems everywhere I go they use the clamp on.

 

Easy day dude...when you go in tell them to use stick on weights. Also odds are they will ding up the finish on the inside when they put pressure on the wheel to get the tires on. It happens...just grab some paint and cover it up.

I use a local merchant tire shop that does me right all the time for wheels, tires and alignments. They are awesome. There is another merchant tire closer but they suck ass and dinged my rims pretty good and didn't clean the rim before sticking weights on...it got redone for free over at my other merchant shop that I like.

 

Just pulled the trigger on a black Friday special for the truck!

Which merchants to you go to that you like?

 

The one I really like is off Independence Blvd in VB just down the road from Little Creek base. They are great and I cannot recommend them enough. They do great alignments as well and have literally had my truck on the rack for hours to get it right with me standing there. It is a shop full of gearheads not just mechanics.

 

This is why I mount and balance my own shit...nobody can screw my rims up

 

We don't all have access to a machine! I do all of my own bike tires though... 3 spoons and the relaxation of hand balancing till it is absolutely perfect.

 

Sure you do...just gotta come up here lol

I ordered some led strip lighting today to do a set of bed lights and under hood lights for my secret Santa victim. Gonna need to look at someones 2nd gen extra cab to get measurements. Then if you want, I'll make a set for you at my cost. Probably in the $20-$30 range depending on the switch used and if you want lighting for the bed and hood.

Added some bed lighting tonight using some LED strip lighting I ordered from Amazon like what cdj1 was talking about. Pretty happy with how it came out.
