    The ones I just got in are completely sealed in silicone. But even if they shit the bed, they cost like $13 for 16 ft.

    The strips I bought are waterproof. I originally got them for rock lighting on my wife's 4runner so that will be the next project.

    That shouldn't be hard. Yeah the strips are waterproof. Gonna use em as rock lights for my truck. Will post pics as I work on it.

    That's how I have my truck set-up. Just used a SPDT switch and tapped into the dome light ground (runs in the bundle on the driverside A-Pillar) and then just a chasis ground for the other side of the switch.

    Same as mine and I have them mounted with foam tape. Idk if I just got a bad batch..

    A little pricey, but I had the LED strips under the truck, but wasn't happy with the light output. These are much better. They make the engine compartment bright as day.

    Thats what I plan on using. I had the LED strips and I ended up ripping them out of the bed and trashing them. I didn't have water intrusion issues they just started crapping out and NOTHING sticks to the silicone housing.

    I used the 20lb double sided foam tape from 3M to stick on my lights to the underside of the hood. I used cable tie holders stuck on with marine adhesive under the truck. Works great.
