Got a question for you electrical guys: My 40A fuse blew at shoe today (thanks Brent for the air). I checked the specs on the compressor again and found that it says 30A, 135 psi working, 150 psi max. My relay/pressure switch (viair) is 110 on 145 off and rated for 40A. Question is if the 40A fuse blew and I upped the fuse size would I kill the relay?

Was this pressure range ok for the compressor or should I get a different one with a 90-120 psi range and replace the 40A fuse or should I get an 80A relay and add in a different pressure switch?

Edit: found a source that has the max amps. 46A max. Guess that answers my question. Also could I use one of these http://www.viaircorp.com/sealedpswitches.html with it? I can't seem to find a switch rated above 30A

265/75R16 BF Goodrich tires, K&N Cold Air Intake,
Okay so I went over to Eastern Truck Accessories here in Virginia Beach to get a lift and new tires. Nothing crazy, just something to go on the moderate trails in Colorado.

So I currently have BF Goodrich 265/75R16 on my truck and was looking to get the 285/75r16 and The Bilstein 5100's with the 2 3/4 inch lift. The guy said not to go with the BF and get Nitto's, Wanted to put spacers, then wanted to do blocks on the rear instead of add a leafs. He said the BF's are shaky and the add a leafs will squeak. Oh and he says I can't use my factory wheels, hase rung up for some Fuel wheels. What do I do? Am I just hearing BS? I've always read on here that add a leafs are the way to go over the blocks. help me out people! Just pm me instead.

Hey guys, I've been ghost on here but have still crept around a bit. I'm heading down to OBX this weekend and was wondering if there any secret gems you gents know about to check out.

I'm planning on going to see the Hatteras and Ocracoke Lighthouses and either camp out in my truck or beach bum it some place.

    ^^^^ That
    And ^^^^This...
AALs may produce a squeak...plenty of ways around it (bicycle tube between the leafs or some lube). Lift blocks produce spring wrap... Bad idea.
Those places are in it to turn vehicles out quick and make money... They aren't concerned about giving you what you want or what is best for your application.

I was eyeing that table saw/router too! Need to get a router and table when I get back from UT. Any models you suggest?

As with a welder, buy bigger than you need right now. I have a nice big Craftsman router but wish it would do plunge cuts.
For the table saw, spend the money for a nice one that has a really good micro adjusting fence and a solid table top. Extra horsepower is your friend for those wide dado cuts too.
I fight lack of precision with my 30 year old set-up.
