It's what happened to us. Did the vaca thing last June... drove across, saw the sights, Grand Canyon, Sedona, a bunch of the National parks, Moab, and spent 4th of July in Denver. On the way home... we were joking about moving to AZ... in September decided if Al could find a job here we'd do it, and 3 weeks later we were moving!!!

Saturday a bunch of us are driving up as high as possible in 4 Peaks, then in the eve heading down to the wash area to camp. Here's a pic of the mountains taken from my back yard, and my camper in the driveway today.

You know you are always welcome, and we do have a spare room. Did I mention the backyard.... or the view out my front door (Sunset)?

i appreciate it! im pretty mechanically switched on, but drilling into my roof and never doing it before obviously makes me a little nervous ( as most im sure) maybe a makers mark before i drill would help. if you have any ideas, or know who has mounted one before ( and did it the first try successfully ) please let me know.

Thanks for the heads up. I know there isn't much around Va. I'm use to Colorado mountains now and not many things come close. Ouray is amazing and so is Moab, UT.

I figure since I'll be back for a couple months I'll visit good old Harrisonburg again. That's where it all started with my Tacoma, you, and my little lab (who is almost 3 now). Glad to see you made the switch to a 4WD Tacoma. Looks good!

You left a void that can't be filled. Seriously though, you're missed out here John.

If you want some help this weekend, give me a PM for my address. I just picked up a big pack of Delphi all weather connectors. Bring your own wire; I have a soldering gun, heatshrink, etc... to get you all wired up.

I can help you measure the holes, I got a drill and some bits but you're going to have to do the drilling

Ditto Sir, it's very active out here, and I'm out in the wilderness every week... but generally by myself. Our group back home is very missed! I made better friends there at Mod Days than I did in years of service or growing up. Someday........

You love us, you want to hang with us, you want to hug us!!!!!

    Here's a great way to mount a 50! https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/location-location-location.411101/
