I did it solo but I have a winch, sliders and full skids just in case. Used my skids once due to a bad line but everything was good. Should be atleast a truck or two there during the weekend if you run into trouble.

    Thanks for showing me this!

Hello all! I'm in Virginia Beach and still breaking my tacoma in, I have only had it about 3 months now and it is still stock. It's a trd OR DCLB. Does anyone have recommendations on places to go to get my truck dirty? So far I have only been down to the 4x4 beach in duck. It was a ton of fun going back in the trails off the beach, but this weekend I want to see something different. Willing to drive three hours or so. I noticed that your talking about flagpole. I think I might try it! Recommended getting any gear first? All I have is a air compressor.... Thanks!

I did Bald Mtn Jeep Trail in my stock Offroad. Obv have a jack, shovel, and tow strap/rope. if you do Bald MTN you will hear that sounds like your paint is being tortured, but your taco is white so it wont show unless you mess up. I only thunked my running boards 1 time because i was going a little too fast over a rock. I did it solo, which was probably a bad idea but i didnt die.

Flagpole is fun. Take your time and think through your lines at a few spots. Are you going in the Union Springs road side?

My location took me onto the trail. Not sure where yours was taking you. Have fun and take lots of pictures of the technical spots. Only a few really. Be careful with the big open area with a lot of mud holes. One is really deep, my snorkel helped.

Air down if you haven't. Flagpole isn't hard but a popped bead is a day ruiner

Anybody need some brake pads? These were on my truck for about 24 hours and 20 miles.

Long story short, ordered pads and rotors from Summit and they got here a day late for inspection time. Put these on my truck Thursday night, inspected Friday morning, then Friday morning, the new stuff showed up. New brakes were on my truck by Friday afternoon.

Virginia Beach near Birdneck and VB BLVD.

Aww that stinks you didn't see any mud. We found a lot of mud holes but not as deep as the ones on Bald Mountain. Glad you enjoyed it and there will be way more time for sure. Did you just drive there and back?

Wow that is a heck of a day trip right there. 4 hours each way. Neck time shoot for camping atleast one night and doing Bald Mountain when you are out that way. Corova is fun if you drive off the beach and drive around some. I would join you if my neck wasn't still hurting. There is a few mud hole around the beach but nothing crazy if you ask me.

You wont find any mud down in Corova, plus I would take caution with any water you find there as it may be salt water. Around here if we get some big rain storm yes mud and water holes. One is down off Bird Neck and is a Dodge truck hole and the other is off North Hampton Blvd.
