Calling all Virginians (Tidewater area)

What is the rule or thumb when crossing salt water? Just take it slow and avoid splashing to much? Under carriage rinse too afterwards I would assume? Sorry if I ask a bunch of dumb questions, I am comming from fast cars and have a very limited scope of the 4x4 realm.

 

I would avoid it at all costs. If u must cross it then yes s low and wash off as soon as you can. I use one of those fan type garden sprinklers. Stick it under the truck and let it rinse off all the small hard to reach places. Only dumb question is one that isn't asked. We were all new once.

I crawl through mud. I'll admit it's fun but I hate it. Gets everywhere and you'll never get it out.

For cleaning, the sprinkler idea works great or a couple under carriage rinses at the local drive through car wash

 

Spray the underside of your vehicle with tire foam, keeps the salt and mud from sticking and it easily washes away at one of the pay car washes.

 

Yeah, bald mtn will get you dirty. Word of advice, always take the bypass on the mudholes if you can, also you dont want to do them too fast (hidden rocks) but you also dont want to go too slow (water).

 

Anybody putting an aftermarket bumper on or have a stock 2016/2017 Rear bumper for sale? ive gone and pulled a stupid.

 

If you plan on upgrading, I'd wait with what you have and look for a Black Friday deal. Unless it's really bad

Its in the 3rd gen under "rear bumper" not to bad, almost cosmetic. Does C4Fab have black friday sales?

Anyone have a few hours to spare tomorrow? I need help with a stubborn crankshaft bolt on my accord. I've tried heat, liquid wrench, everything, for the past two weeks. I've used a chain to hold the pulley but bent and almost snapped it and the bolt wont budge. I have a pulley holder tool and if we get one large breaker on that plus one on the bolt, I think that should do the trick. Otherwise I'll have to tow it to a dealer.

Will pay in beer and pizza and can give a hand on an help you need on your truck.

 

What size nut? I should have a little time.
